Visited this new place for lunch on a Wednesday in August. This used to be The Pewley Arms Pub, and has now been refurbished as a Bike Hub and Cafe. Due to social distancing we sat outside in the large, flat garden, as the weather was fine. There are plenty of tables outside and 2 or three inside. Drinks came pretty quickly, and we ordered Pizzas - The Pepperoni, The Billy, Hot Stuff and The Mediterranean. I'm glad we got our order in as it soon became very busy, with family groups, cyclists and walkers. We did have to wait at least 45minutes for our Pizzas, however, they were extremely good. Service seemed confused, with orders being taken, but on some occasions not being delivered. On several occasions the Servers had to return to tables to check orders, and some people left without getting their order. Our second round of drinks took about an hour to turn up, just as we were about to leave. The disabled toilet was the only one open, as it has it's own sink and dryer, and by the time we left there was a queue. As they have only just re-opened, I assume the confused service and wait for food are just teething troubles. The menu is fine for lunch, but it would have been nice to have a few more cakes. Opening another toilet would also be an improvement - but overall a nice experience.

What a quaint establishment. A pub, cafe and pushbike shop hiring out bikes and Ebikes with all spares and repairs. The food is delicious I enjoyed my fully loaded breakfast roll on soughdough bread roll. What a combination the roll held my food perfectly to the last bite. My wife enjoyed a bacon roll. We had a latte and a pot of tea. Very filling very friendly and helpful staff with a large carpark. The toilets are spotlessly clean. Dogs are welcome. It has Disabled access. This is a gem of a place that I shall return to again and again. Highly recommend a visit if your in the area wether by bicycle or car. Thank you

We have been meaning to visit for ages and managed to op into today. What lovely people, food and coffee plus the bike shop of course. I’m a road rider but still love looking at any bikes so very much in heaven in a place that has bikes, cakes and coffee 😂 Another visit today 23/11/25. Great service food and a lovely look around the bikes. If passing you must drop in.

It's generally difficult to get cheap Chinese ebikes repaired at reputable ebike shops, as there's such a massive range of types and quality available on line (usually not supported by a service facility) - reputable ebike shops don't like to take on repairs of these bikes, generally only servicing their own range. Despite this, The Pump and Pedal offered to have a go at repairing my old Chinese ebike, I bought online - the magnetic disc pedal sensor was cracked and malfunctioning (also missing magnets). I supplied a replacement disc I bought from the ebikes original supplier (I bought it on line). I left the ebike with The Pump and Pedal for a few days. They called me later, to say that fitting the new part hadn't remedied the problem, but they said they would preserver. A couple of days later they called to say they'd solved the problem using the original disc, which they had cleaned and repaired and refitted. I can't thank the team enough for their great service, all carried out with patience and a smile. If/when I'm looking for a new ebike, where I'm guaranteed top service, it'll definitely be from the Pump and Pedal. Buy local and not on line! An added bonus is the smashing location and really smart cafe and facilities. A must location to visit when in the...

I'd leave a 0* if possible.

Served my toddler a napalm hot babychino. When I complained all I got was "Sorry. As a parent I'd check the temperature first" as the response when pressed if this was the actual line from the management he stood by it!

Very disappointing they can't train their staff to the most basic level (the waitress didn't realise the babychino was been given to a toddler - the clue is in the title). This is so poor on so many fronts and even moreso they want to absolve themseleves of any responsibility by passive aggressively passing the responsibility to the parents as a 'duty of care' issue.

I've always stopped here and tired to support it as an independent bikrshop/service station but certainly won't...
