Yet again I have visited this place and my god it’s just incredible it really is … Amy & Jo work the restaurant floor to perfection they really do ensuring each table is looked after and feel special , that I applaud❤️❤️ the venue is just lovely and warm and welcoming with harbour views. The menu has e Pugh to cater for all tastes and has decent vegetarian options. I always order the ribs … why you may ask … well it’s simple I’m a seasoned diner and love ribs but these are the best I’ve ever had, better than any smoke house or American diner they are that good. The chefs have got these off to perfection. Literally fall off the bone tender you don’t need use your hands, very meaty Witt only touch of fat. The bbq sauce home made doesn’t taste vinegary or acidic perfectly balanced that good you could drink it. The ribs are served with 3 huge onion rings, fried, an amazing coleslaw which by the way home made and corn on cob. I have noticed the corn on cob is buttery and cooked to perfection and not over cooked that I have found in other establishments . The dish is served with a bowl of lemon water everything is just perfect🥰🥰 just please remember we are all human … they don’t always have a crystal ball so if you want extra bbq sauce or none or want your food cooked a certain way for example just ask they will always try and accommodate your requests so just ask we all like things certain ways ,,, this place is just perfect . From The car park to getting inside the restaurant is all level access so perfect for all people

Decent place to grab a bite. We tried there 3 course meals and each ordered a drink. My wife had a foxy lady, which is an alcohol free moscow muel and it was very tasty. I ordered the hot chocolate and it was intimidating and delicious after adding some extra sugar it was even better. For appetizers we had bruscheta and soup of the day, cauliflower soup. The bruscheta was tasty and crunchy but had way to many tomatoes. The cauliflower soup was good. For main course we had the sunday roasts, chicken and beef. The chicken was very flavorful and delicious while the potatoes were hard to cut into edible bites and the bread was tasty. The beef was not very flavorful and the potatoes and bread had same issue as the chicken. For dessert we had lemon sorbet and cinnamon and banana cake. The sorbet was very tart, it came with rasberry ice sorbet which was over the top tartness. The cake was delicous and tasty. A good place to eat and relax.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Harbour Lights for Melissa and Dean’s wedding with our Magic Mirror. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly polite and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The venue itself is perfect for a small to medium-sized wedding — intimate, stylish, and set against the most stunning backdrop. The sunset over the water was absolutely breathtaking and added a magical touch to the evening. After packing down, I realised I’d accidentally left some equipment behind. The Harbour Lights team didn’t hesitate to reach out — they messaged us on Instagram and even gave us a call to make sure we knew. Their care and attention really stood out. (Secretly, I didn’t mind the excuse to pop back for a drink by the water with my family!) Thank you so much for having us — I hope to be back again soon for another unforgettable celebration!

I'm afraid this isnt a positive review, after being given instructions on how to drive up to the restaurant by a staff member that weren't correct, we eventually made it with some difficulty. The lady that greeted us and the waiter that took us to our table were lacking in friendliness and we weren't feeling very welcome initially at all. There wasn't even an apology for the information being wrong, even though she admitted she didn't really know. These things are major for people with mobility issues The floor was very slippery and I struggled to get to the table, the couple that were next shown to a table near us, the lady fell over and they were moved. We opted to not have starters, which the waiter was shocked at and seemed displeased. We went straight for the main course. Only one out of the three meals was enjoyed, two of them were unfortunately mediocre. Now for the plus side, we got a new waitress that was friendly and helpful, our experience changed then as not only did we feel welcome we also had desserts that were lovely and had a great view of the sun setting. The main course that was enjoyed was sea bass. Once a change of staff took place our experience changed, professionalism and friendliness made the final part of our experience totally different, we wouldn't have stayed for dessert if she hadn't arrived. The desserts were yum, I had the millionaires cheesecake and it was beautiful. The setting of the restaurant was great. But if you have a disability, getting from the carpark was a struggle and then a slippery floor added to it made it a nightmare. Apparently there is a way to drive closer, the bollards don't lower as we were told, you have to get out of the car, remove the metal bollards, drive through and then replace the bollards, again not the easiest situation for a wheelchair user Overall I doubt we will be back, which is such a shame as the...

Read till the end My wife and I went here two weeks ago and the food was decent but the service was horrible. We had to flag down the waitresses every single time she came to our table. Also got a two wrong items, and were billed for them. Wife left a review stating exactly what happened. No more, no less. (Isn't that what reviews are for? Honesty?) She gave 3 stars. Whatever. For the prices it was a decent place.

Fast forward to tonight. We went again, and brought friends. This time the food was better, the service was way better. We were prepared to call the first incident a one-off and change our review accordingly.

UNTIL the "Owner" walks over after we're £200 in to our meal, and obviously repeat customers, that are also bringing in others that haven't been before.

He comes over to our table to ask why we gave them a bad review last time. Not in a "How can we do better" voice. But in a "Who do you think you are?" voice. We were all taken back by this. Shocked honestly. My wife proceeds to tell him the truth, that service was horrible the first time, but we believed in second chances, and even brought others this time, and everything was good today. (You could tell he'd had a couple to drink.) He asks the same question again, "Why did you give us a bad review tho?" My wife, confused, tries to re state what she had just said. And he again, asks what we thought we were doing leaving his restaurant a bad review. I answer this time, in my de escalating voice. He walks away, while we're explaining to him. While we were talking to him!

Quite literally turned a great night, and a comeback story in to a horrible night, and 4 people (and anyone we can tell) in to never again customers.

We will never...

Arrived as a party of 4 for a table reservation at 19:00 on the 15th march Upon arrival was pleasantly greeted by a young girl and informed our table wasn’t ready so was sat near the bar to have a drink Was then sat at our table at 19:10 We were seated next to a window that looked onto the harbour Couldn’t see much and it was dark but the seating was nice We did have to wait about 15 minutes before someone came to take our order A lady who I assume is the manager took our order She was pleasant and helpful Wanted to order the pie but was told they had ran out. Just thought it is what it is as demand for the pie could’ve been high that day After ordering we waited about 25 minutes for our starters. Starters come out all starters were pleasant and no complaints from any of our party Staff cleared the table but didn’t ask if we wanted more drinks in which we had to ask separately The mains came out my friends steak was good However the ribs that were ordered were overcooked and were dry I did receive a bowl to wash my hands which was pleasant and appreciated My partner ordered the burger and we felt it could’ve been of slightly better quality meat All in all we ate it and would return however we do feel as though amendments could be made. The service could’ve been improved as we weren’t asked if everything was ok with our meals and weren’t asked if we wanted any more drinks. Also the quality of the burger and ribs could’ve been better. We did notice what appeared like 4 people were working in which that was to run the bar and service. Could probably benefit from having more staff present to improve the service provided If I could’ve gave 3 and a half stars I...
