Laziza Indian Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in West Lindsey

I will refer to Laziza as a North Indian restaurant. It may be owned by British Pakistanis, Bangladeshis or Indians, but the food style is what we recognise as Anglicised North Indian food.

Laziza is now, in my opinion, Lincoln’s premier North Indian restaurant. The setting, overlooking Burton Waters’ Marina is great, the service is friendly and efficient and the food is a notch above anything else in the area.

If there is one thing I would pick out to demonstrate its superiority is that its vegetable dishes are made with real fresh vegetables, unlike the defrosted mush that so often characterises this style of food. All your normal meat favourites are available.

A little on the pricey side but we were attracted by the favourable reviews of the food, and on that aspect we were not disappointed; very good indeed. We were discouraged by reviewers mentioning an automatic service charge of 12.5%, but on the Saturday evening we went there was no service charge (I guess they've stopped charging it). In fact when paying the bill there was no prompting even by the card machine to leave a tip. We have been to this venue several times before under different incarnations and our biggest gripe then was the poor acoustics, with a full house being very noisy. I am amazed at the negative review left, i have been fortunate to eat here 3 times since the restaurant opened, with different groups of people, each time trying a different starter and main, each time the food has been exceptional, which is only surpassed by the excellent service we have received at all times. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive , food is fresh and well presented, flavors are awesome, Thankfully we have a further two reservations coming up and i cannot wait to try some other dishes, there is a plethora of choice.
