This was my 1st visit & the entrance is a bit confusing as the front double doors which are located up a few steps are not in use & there's no signs pointing to the side door which has a sloped incline inside for any pushchairs or wheelchair users. Once inside its quite large with around 15 tables & it wasn't very busy. I bypassed the wait to be seated stand(whoops) & found a table for two,I didn't receive any interaction from any staff on duty.Menu sheets were already placed on the tables & i could understand why only about 5tables were occupied as the variety of options listed are quite expensive,Unsure what to do next ,since the table had no number ,I went to the counter to place my order& got asked did I want to pay ! Place an order was my reply & I got told they would come across so I pointed out my table,Within a few mins a regular Cappuccino, Breakfast Tea & 2 x portions of sourdough toast with added marmalade/Honey order was taken .The drinks didn't take long to arrive & the Cappuccino was a fantastic cuppa, lovely & hot aswel .I did venture to view the wonderful cake stand & it's offerings wile waiting for the food order. Unfortunately there was a very long wait for the toast to arrive infact I would of drunk my coffee long before if I hadn't saved a drop which was now barely warm .The toast was well presented & very tasty but the 2 small slices looked like it was 1 slice cut in half ,very disappointing portions. The toilets were nice & clean, the Gents doubles up as a disabled toilet. Cash or card payments are excepted. From my experience during this visit service timings need to have an significant improvement, Hate to think what the wait would actually of been if the place was nearly full.

We was passing through and decided to stop for a breakfast. Waited ages. Lukewarm beans. Undercooked tomato. Undercooked snotty egg. Mushrooms still raw in middle and swimming in oil. Cheap dry black pudding and really really dry bacon. Even the quality sausage was hard and dry and we weren't checked to see if eventing was OK. If you're gonna do a posh pretentious breakfast for a tenner, at least get the basics right first. The restaurant was freezing and the staff had full blown loud conversations over the tops of tables from one side of the restaurant to the other. When we'd finished no one ever came to clear our plates despite there being plenty of staff, especially one that was solely cleaning tables around us. So again we weren't asked if everything was OK and if we wanted anything else like another coffee and cake, which we might have if it hadn't have been so cold in there. To be honest i couldn't wait to leave. Keep driving. Edited -To the businesses reply that's trying to insinuate i only leave negative reviews and that I probably never even ate here - I've left over 100 reviews, most of which are positive, but I've never posted photos on reviews, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. I took one on this occasion but didn't post it, but as you're saying i wasn't even there, here it is. As you can see, snotty egg and raw mushroom and tomato. Unfortunately you can't see the cold beans, cold room or unprofessional staff.

Overpriced. Avoid. Make use the other two cafés in the town. Central Market Rasen location with poor parking. If you do manage to get parked, and enter this venue; you'll be shouted at which table to take despite standing at the "please wait to be seated sign". Upon sitting yourself, you'll be provided with a menu, and that menu will be (and is) confused. Is this a cafe? Is it a restaurant? Spotted the Steak Sandwich, scanned further to find it was lacking the standard chips. Throw chips and drink on top, we're at £20! No thanks, that's evening meal territory... No table service, had to go up to the counter. Drinks arrived , was told glass was 'half full' due to coming from the can. £2.00 service charge then...cake was edible..not Tealby Tea Room standard. We discussed if we'd return to this place before leaving, the answer was No. Other places next time..

Extremely disappointing! Arrived at the venue to be met at the door, asked for a table for 4, given a choice of 3 tables. Was told by the waitress she'd be back to take drink orders; 15 mins later she took a drinks order and said she would return to take our food order. Drinks arrived, and in some unorganised manner, cups & saucers were placed randomly on the table, with the male waiter handing out a biscuit and teaspoon, by standing at one end of the table and almost 'throwing' the items to each person, rather than setting up the table correctly. There was a further table of 4 people arrived after us, had food order taken and still we waited. Finally having to go to the counter to remind the staff we wanted to order food, I was abruptly told 'I'll come to your table to take the order'. We waited a further 10 minutes. Having put in an order for 2 fish & chips and 2 meat pies & chips, we waited another 30 minutes before the waitress told us there was only 1 pie left, so what else did we want instead - opted for another fish & chips. Waited a further 30 mins when 2 fish & 'skinny fries' meals arrived at the table. The fries and peas were cold. 10 mins later the last 2 meals arrived .... fries and peas were cold, fish was watery and the pie filling was extremely dry. We were so hungry by this point we did our best to eat the meals, but they were awful! Not once did either of the staff ask us how I meal was; but when paying the extortionate bill by card, there was an option on the card machine to leave a percentage tip! Absolutely not!! It's a shame there is very little attention to detail given by the staff. Perhaps they need to employ a chef who knows what they are doing, and they all need to complete some training in hospitality. We certainly won't be returning to this venue, and won't be recommending it to others. Disappointing through...

Passing through Market Rasen on our journey. Looked on Google for a good place to eat and found a recommendation for the March Hare in the centre of the town. The restaurant was less than half full and as we waited to be seated, the two of us identified our preference for a table for four, away from the noisy main road through the town, which was one of several available. Our server directed us to a table for two next to the large roadside wide windows. OK, first impressions on our first visit are not good. Our server asked what drinks we wanted and we hadn't seen what was on offer, so the server said she would give us a moment to decide. 20 minutes later we were ready to leave but the server came back and we chose our drinks and gave our order for two Philly Cheese Steaks. The drinks came in reasonable time and waited and waited. The manager came to the table of two next to ours, where one meal had been delivered and the other guest was waiting, and informed they could not make the other meal because a supplier of meat had not fulfilled an order. The guest without food decided he didn't want to order anything else - their friend had almost finished their meal. They left and we waited and waited. We were again about to leave when the manager came and told us she apologised for the long wait and our meals would be free -we need only pay for our drinks. She was clearly upset and agitated. Our meals duly arrived. Inside each bread bun were two small chunks of cube steak covered in layers of onion chutney, a few slices of raw pepper and a little uncooked, shredded cheese. The steak mainly contained gristle and fat. Philadelphia is not the only place to have a proper Philly Cheese Steak but don't have one here! We could not eat the meal which was really an 'onion chutney sandwich'. We paid for our...
