Costa Coffee — Restaurant in West Suffolk

Have been coming here quite a lot recently while I’m off work and I’m very shocked to see such bad reviews. Im always met with a positive vibe and it’s clear that The staff are doing their very best.

This morning I witnessed a moody awkward customer towards the staff. She was clearly having a bad day and looking to take it out on someone. The two lady’s handled this moaning customer with the upmost respect but unfortunately they wasn’t shown the same in return by this woman. To my delight the lady mumbled ‘I won’t be coming back here again’ as she walked past me. It was the most sensible thing she had said all morning. 10/10 from the staff. 0/10 for the awkward customer.

For a nice new, busy drive thru and eat in Costa, they have really appointed the wrong weekend manager-Shaun.

On a very busy Sunday afternoon this so called manager was clearly having a bad day or is genuinely a very short tempered, rude and vile man taking his frustration out on the young staff who were clearly under pressure to serve and meet the customer orders both in store and for the drive thru.

The two young members of staff at the time, a teenage boy and girl were working tirelessly to serve customers in a calm and professional manor while Shaun was dishing out demands in a very rude and aggressive manor making it feel very uncomfortable.

firstly, we asked for a vanilla frappe and they put coffee into our frappe?

secondly, i ordered a tiramisu frappe and it wasn’t blended properly, chunks of ice left unblended

wait time was ridiculous

and to top it off, we ordered a sweet and pastry bag, which was £2.99 on the too good to go app, they gave us 1 measly singular chocolate muffin, which is only £2.95 on the costa app, and we paid more ? how can this be justified?!? isn’t the whole point to have a bunch of things that are going out of date to save waste? or were they just holding back food...
