Cucina Cafe — Restaurant in Wigan

If you haven't had the pleasure yet of visiting this cafe, this hidden gem, then you're missing out. The surroundings are quirky and welcoming, the staff are so friendly and professional, the food is delicious and imaginative.... But the CAKES are something else! I have tried several of their cakes, all delicious and well made, but the cake of cakes is their CARROT CAKE. You owe it to yourself to try their superb carrot cake! You've never tasted anything like it! The texture, everything about it, I'm sure there's a little bit of magic in there somewhere! I can't wait to revisit this home from home, to see Fiona, Kirsty and all their staff, and to taste that magical cake...

Visited this lunch time, with a friend ,as her Birthday Treat. I was very impressed by the "booking procedure" ...making sure we had no allergies, or special requests.The staff made us very welcome ...all very pleasant, and friendly.The Afternoon tea was delicious, with a lovely selection of food, sweet and savoury. plus a cuppa !!!...and they provided boxes to take away any " leftovers" ...not that many I must add !!!! I would highly recommend this beautiful "little gem"....just outside the town...

We went for breakfast... The place is lovely. It's clean and the toilet is clean and provides for baby with a nappy changing station. For breakfast, we 3 adults had a vegan option of smashed avocado with tomatoes etc. I've included a picture. Mine was also gluten free. The children had beans on toast avocado on toast and scrambled egg in toast... All yummy! We had two pots of tea and a latte all with oat milk. The children had little bottles of fruit juice.
