Updating my review to suit the current situation... What a change since they reopened again! Called in today with my daughter. Had a few drinks and ordered the 3 starters for £10.95 offer. The food was delicious and of a good portion size for starters. The drinks weren't any more expensive than other places around Wigan, and I was very pleased that my pint didn't come with half a pinter head! Very impressed with the member of staff we encountered (assuming the new landlady but I didn't ask her name?) She went out of her way to make sure that my daughter and I were enjoying our time there, as well as checking that the food etc was up to scratch. She informed us of upcoming family/children's events that she was planning on holding when we asked to purchase raffle tickets. She even checked in to make sure everyone was comfortable when another customer's child had found their way to our table - this was highly appreciated 👏 After our last visit under the previous management, I'd had little interest in going here again, but I'm so glad we missed that bus and decided to call in! Will definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely outside experience.

We had a great lamb pie last week, and suggested cheese pie, which the chef agreed would be this weeks pie.thats a good sign, listening to what customers want. The first bite was underwhelming, but the second smacked me in the chops with cheesiness. Good value. Is it a Michelin standard? No. Is it a pretentious place for those with a WN6 postcode? No. Its good honest pub with lovely staff, and tasty food.

Had a lovely meal from here today, had the bacon cheese burger, southern fried chicken burger, the rump steak and garlic bread with cheese on the side. Everything was delicious couldn't fault anything, also the service was great Tia who was our server was very polite and attentive, was lovely and welcoming. Thank you for our visit will definitely be coming back.

Recently moved back to Wigan from down South and discovered this little Gem of a pub last week. It's clean, tidy and well looked after, which you can taste in the beer served by the lovely bar staff. I can't fault it at all. Will definitely be a regular place to visit when I'm in Wigan centre. Thank you. 😀👍 Oh and its Dog friendly too.

Had the burger and chips after work. There was very little wait, and the food was lovely. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked and the chips crispy and soft in the middle. I'd highly...

Came today for a Sunday roast as they looked lovely on the Facebook page and we are willing to give different pubs a try. Especially homemade food. Unfortunately we wouldn't be back. The roast was lacking in flavour. The califlower cheese was the only thing that was tasty and enjoyable. The beef was very fatty and tough to cut through. Both myself and my daughter didn't touch it again after the first try. The gravy was dramatically watery. We did report back this when plates were collected. Such a shame as its...
