Best pub in Wigan (and the surrounding area). Real ales and ciders always on draught and in bottle at a reasonable price and served at the best quality with the friendliest of smiles. Of course they have the classic wines and spirits too with a generous selection of gins and whiskeys. Live music on Sundays from 14:30 (and select Fridays), private room reservation available, table reservations and table service available. Quiz night on Monday evenings from 20:00. Great craft beer bar with a constantly rotating selection of keg and cask beers, all of which is well looked after. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable, and there's a really well-stocked can library for takeout or drinking in. They do bar snacks (cheeseboard, pork pies, scotch eggs and the like) but a poor selection for vegans. They have collaborated in the past with Hideout (2 arches down) who do made-to-order pizza, and that's a better selection food-wise but it's not always available.
