Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

A great location for the shopping park and for a quick stop by (not drive through) to grab a warm happy cuppa, as me and my wife entered it was already a bustling coffee shop with some one taking the time to draw while enjoying a drink, there was a good selection of cakes and snacks with some gluten free options, so we ordered our medium drinks and waited, as soon as we got them we headed out. so at this point your probably wondering why I didn't put 5 stars well the staff were polite and the shop was well looked after it was the lack personal interaction with the staff, and not their fault its busy times and new staff are in short supply. this is more of a message to management (not the store manager more of the regional manager). But if nothing is said then nothing can be addressed. Thank you to the staff when we visited as our drinks...

I visit this Costa at least once every week or so usually and I absolutely love it here!!

Every staff member I’ve encountered is genuinely bloody lovely. For a while I was always coming in for a double espresso before my gym session and one of the staff members began remembering me and had a double espresso ready to go for me before I even got to the till! I’ve never had a rude encounter with anyone here, it makes me want to go in more just to say hello!

Helps that their lattes are always top-notch, too. I’ll usually grab a sugar-free vanilla oat latte and it’s always super tasty and made quickly. As long as the queue isn’t too big I’m usually out the door in less than five minutes!

Would always recommend coming here over the Cineworld Starbucks for good coffee and...

The staff here are some of the unfriendliest people I have encountered at Costa or coffee shops generally.

One one occasion I was physically escorted to another area of the store and told to stay in that seat

On another I was shouted at to not sit in a certain area because the floor had been mopped.

On both occasions the store was only around 40-50% full.

My treatment wasn’t an isolated case as others received the same “Customer Service” levels.

I work in the retail motor sector and understand the importance of a consistent level of service. Sadly consistency here seems to be pitched at providing consistently low levels of that service.
