Shimla Balti — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

After ordering our meal on the way home we realised we didn’t have the cash on us for the delivery driver! So I dropped my partner back at the house just incase the delivery came and picked up the bank card from then I headed to our local Asda to get the cash out, when getting back in the car I realised my partner still had the car keys so the car wouldn’t start again!

Obviously it’s a really smart of BMW that you can drive your car without having the key in there with you and only notifies you when you turn your engine off!

Anyway I phoned my partner who’s battery was dead then to find I had our chargers in our bag! So I thought I’d best phone Shimla to cancel our order of which the manager Shem answered the phone I explained to him the situation and because it was late at night and I would need to walk home - he said he will come and pick me up and take me home he made a point of saying he has a little sister and would hate the thought of her being in that situation! He arrived and brought me home of which our curry had been delivered

Not sure what Shimla Balti some of these reviewers have been to.. nothing but a delightful experience for me and my wife on my birthday. Polite and friendly staff gave us a warm welcome from start to finish. Tables/floor/cutlery/glasses all clean staff were actively tidying throughout the night, definitely no food was on the floor like last person said…? Food was honestly exceptional, for starters I had the chom chom chicken and my wife had the sheesh kebab, both were beautiful and the sheesh kebab was so fresh haven’t had one that mouth watering before… talking myself into another haha. The owner came out to greet us after we were sat down and helped my wife with her choice of main course as she wanted to try something new.. the owner was happy to help. Visit here occasionally my best friend and her family who are regulars when I visit Wolverhampton.

The food is beyond compare. It is deliciously fresh and no request is too much. The staff are friendly and welcoming with the proprietor, who also cooks there, coming out to greet customers and ensure that everything is alright with their meals.

Whilst there this time a family had come in with 2 young children who had never had Indian cuisine before. They ordered a korma as it is mild with some chips The children did not particularly enjoy the flavour of the korma. When the proprietor learnt this he spent time talking to the family and giving suggestions as to other things to try in future. After which he came back out with a mild normal curry sauce. Free of charge, which the children devoured enthusiastically.

This is most probably THE best Curry House that I have ever been to.

Absolute perfection every time.
