Dorset Grill House Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Wool

I read the reviews before eating here so fully aware of what others had commented. I like to make my own mind up so thought I would give it a go. It was born more from necessity rather than anything else as we were on holiday, it was a Sunday evening and nothing else in the area seemed to be open. They also delivered which was bonus.

I’m sorry to say, it was the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. The food took forever to turn up so when it did arrive it wasn’t very warm at all. My fish was very undercooked, it was still quite raw inside. The chips were also inedible, tasting somehow stale and undercooked. Two cheeseburgers also went in the bin because they were equally unpleasant. I spent nearly £60 and it all went in the bin, extremely disappointing!

This place could do a lot better, maybe the owners need to sit down and sample their own foods to see where improvements need to be made. Also some food handling refresher training...

Turned up cold 30 mins late ..not even an apology Driver lost her way apparently !! Food stone cold Chips was at least cooked three times so like leather no potato left inside When rang to complain was hit with Lack of customer service And argumentive to point of frustration !!! When got to speak to a person who seemed to be more in charge Was offered fresh order or money back Well after hard day at work expecting a good takeaway that was late It's now 10pm after that drama ... not even hungry now !! Massive disappointment Never had a problem before although food was never piping hot Was always of a good standard !! Hoping this was a one off Would advise to collect Not have delivery I personally will AVOID in the future Due to rude aggressive customer (or lack off)...

We’ve ordered from here a few times early last year and quite recently and they were quite lovely. Though now, the prices are absolutely shocking! We were charged for delivery even though we’re only a mile away, (it says over 3 on the website menu). It’s now £6 for a double cheeseburger on its own now, which we didn’t know until we had to ask for the total on a separate phone call. The money we paid is extortionate. The burgers also weren’t as good as they use to be and a very limited amount of sauce put in our burgers. It’s disappointing because it used to be really good...
