Balti Mahal — Restaurant in Worcester

We've ordered from here a couple of times a month for ages, and the food is generally good but can be a bit hit and miss depending on the day of the week.

However, we stopped ordering a month or so back, due to them hiking the prices for them to delivery an order, which is generally over £30 and less than a mile from them.

It's really outrageous, especially when you consider the mark up on menu items and how they don't make you aware of the fee ordering on the phone. The price isn't very clear on the online orders either. Most restaurants when you order direct provide free delivery, or at very least low cost, but I don't consider £2-£3 a pop low cost. I expect they'll be losing business once people cotton on to why the cost of their takeaway is becoming...

Food was amazing Service was terrible the waiter with the glasses and grey hair said late 40s was an absolutely horrible man. Order 5 starters and 7 popadoms as a starter and 1 man mix grill for a starter also! Oh forgot to mention 5 cokes poured out a multipack bottle! Waiter came round for mains we had a child with us who was full and a disabled older man with us also who also gets full quickly. We then ordered 3 mains not 5 and the waiter was moaning about it saying “you shouldn’t have eaten inside if you was only going to order starters and drink” our starters and drinks came to £60… never use this place to dine in staff are rude and can barely speak English...

We live so close to this place and have always said we’d try it out. We finally paid a visit last night a last minute decision for my soon to be husband’s birthday. It certainly did not disappoint. We had the Mahal special platter for 2. Served on a sizzling skillet with the most beautifully seasoned onions & peppers. I had the Tenga Mita Jahl. Whoever decided to put mint in a hot, sweet & sour curry deserves a knighthood. It was delicious. I can’t remember what my other half had as I was in shock that he had something other than a pathia.
