I decided to celebrate my birthday here with my family after reading all the great reviews on Google and also from family members that have eaten here before. Reserved 3 tables for 20 people and ordered 2 x Platters for 6, 5 x Calamari, and 4 x Caesar Salads and I lost count his many beers and cocktails we ordered but the Efe’s Draught beer went down really well with meat. Smooth and not bitter.
I am going to be completely honest here, in the 30+ years of trying Turkish dishes around the world, the food here was hands down the best I’d tasted. All the meats were cooked to moist perfection. It was not dry nor undercooked. Although I still enjoy it I have never been a huge fan of lamb chops and ribs due this distinctive after taste that it has but here it did not have that after taste so I really enjoyed that!
The server that took care of us (Neil) was awesome with a great sense of humour that kept everyone entertained and was always in sight whenever we needed him. He definitely went above and beyond and even prepared a little surprise treat or two for me just for my birthday.
Normally I hate Baklava because they are so sweet but this is the first time that I enjoyed eating it and actually finish one.
The atmosphere inside was great allowing a sense of relaxation with the room temperature set just right and not like a cold chiller like some other restaurants. The lighting was ambient and not too bright enhancing the relaxed atmosphere.
I definitely need to return again someday because whatever shot of liquor Neil gave me on the house was so good!
Keep up the...
