Chanced upon this lovely place after being suggested by a friend, and absolutely loved it! Just the right size for the staff to know you well enough while you’re there, and some decent tracks on play and not too loud either. The fact that they stay open late is another added advantage. Had an absolutely fun time while we were there, and especially liked how the the staff joined in for the merrymaking when it was time to close. While a great deal of Worthing town centre pubs/bars all close up because they cannot make money, I came on this little gem on that time of the week with about a dozen customers. Strolled into a dog friendly pub called The Richard Cobden on clifton street in worthing yesterday (returned today) whilst visiting my sister and have discovered a gem of a place. We wasn’t even in the door when the customers were openly polite and chatty to a stranger and his dog walking in.
