Karma Lounge — Restaurant in Worthing

Food was decent but in all honesty over priced e.g. £8 for some dirty fries (chips with cheese and ham)/ halloumi fries for £8.99. Service was in all honesty pretty bad, staff were friendly just very slack. Seemed like the young lads working there were more concerned messing around with there pals who didn’t work there than serving the customers. Was empty the evening we were there par another 2 couples who arrived after us, despite this they forgot our sides (even though I reminded them once already as they were taking awhile) and they didn’t arrive until 10 minutes after we’d finished eating. Ordered some hot chocolates also which then took about 15 minutes even though the lads behind there bar weren’t serving but just waffling to their pals. After when they saw we hadn’t eaten the sides they asked if everything was alright, we said no and explained. They apologised but made no effort to make it right. Also could do with some semi-decent work attire as having 2 lads come to your table at a time in their casual wear e.g. trackie shorts and a tee doesn’t exactly fit the bill for something that’s meant to be a nice cocktail lounge...

I thought I'd give this place another chance as on my initial visit I'd asked for a diet coke with my meal only to be served with coke tasting water. I complained and was then told that they do not do 'proper' coke and that THEY preferred it anyway. I then pointed out couldn't someone pop over the road to the co-op and get some and i'd gladly pay the inflated price, but no, of course not. So I popped in today looking for some hot food and tea, order was taken by the moody woman in there, i sat down, very milky tea turned up without saucer or spoon to stir. Ordered a breakfast bap for £6.50, which took about 20 mins to make, asked me whether i wanted anything else, yes some sauce please, "we've run out" came the answer. No cutlery or napkins either and when I saw this Breakfast bap thing turn up, I had to laugh how microscopic it was. The ingredients (egg, bacon, half a sausage) were barely edible., A Mc muffin is twice the size and tastes good! Couldn't wait to get out of here and will...

I like to support local businesses and have noticed this place decided to take my friends there, If I could give zero stars I would, I eat out very very regularly and this was one of the worst experiences I've had!!. Stated outside happy hour pizzas £5 between 5 and 6, We arrived at 5:35, Ordered three margherita pizzas 2 coca-cola's and a pint of beer the bill was £35.80!!. My friends do not like to complain but I had to on their behalf regarding the fizzy water being sold as Coca-Cola!, They replaced the Coca-Cola with more of what can only be described as fizzy water. If the owner thinks that, that was a 12-inch pizza his wife has obviously lied to him about size!!. When I said the Coca-Cola he replaced was no different he just apologise no refund was offered.
