Takeaway/Delivery We’ve avoided using the delivery service from Moubourne since being let down a few months ago and having to drive to the restaurant to pick up our order. However we thought we’d give it another go, hoping to see an improvement. We couldn’t have been more wrong! Having ordered and booked a half hour delivery slot we sat patiently waiting for our food to arrive. The allotted slot came and went, we thought ok, give them a few more minutes. Still no food arrived. I rang the restaurant to be told that our food was on the way (we live 3 miles away) and to “Have a little patience sir”. Another 30 minutes went by, still no sign of our food,so I rang again to be told, again that it was on the way, and to “Have a little patience sir, what else can you expect us to do?” I replied that I expected our food to be delivered in the allotted time slot, and not to be told to “Have a little patience sir”. The food did eventually turn up, over 45 minutes after the time slot ended and was hot ( not sure how long it had really been out for delivery) and was very tasty. This is the only reason it’s a two star review, rather that one. Edit: I ordered through Uber Eats, which gave me a 30 minute delivery slot. As you’re probably aware, once the order has been completed, this delivery slot isn’t visible on the receipt in app. So asking for a screenshot is a bit fruitless. Maybe you should let Uber Eats know that you can’t stick to a...
Read moreOrdered 3 mains including a Paneer Makhani through the website last night. Firstly the food took 2 hours to prepare, half an hour over the expected delivery time, then they accidentally set it to delivered. So I had to phone up asking where it was in case it was delivered to the wrong house. This is minor.
When it arrived almost an hour late, the paneer curry came as a paneer tikka starter. With no sauce, 5 piddly little bits of paneer, for £8.50. Upon ringing the restaurant the guy on the phone argued and argued over and over that I'd ordered a starter despite me saying repeatedly "you can see I've paid £8.50, starters are £3.95". After raising his voice and getting angry at a customer the guy finally found a problem in the website. To which his reply was a sarcastic "what do you want me to do about it". Well I don't really want to wait another 2 and a half hours for a curry. Not happy with the...
Read moreBooked a table of 12 for a birthday meal, started with stale poppadoms, ordered food which took the best part of an hour to arrive, young waiter spilt food on table as he was placing it down, that should have been a warning as it was swimming in grease, he then proceeded to put down a boiling hot plate down in front of an 18 months old child, when questioned he said he would move it “in a minute” child’s father burnt his own hand moving it before the child grabbed it. All food had a layer of ghee on it (including the dry chicken shashlik) all 10 naan breads were stone cold with cheese congealed on the top. So just a word of warning to anyone thinking to eat here DONT. This review does not in anyway reflect on the two gentlemen than run the actual pub this poor excuse for a restaurant is situated in. They are both very nice amicable people who cannot do...
