We came in a breakfast time as a family with my non verbal autistic disabled son. We asked for some fries to be cooked for him so we could all eat together, we were told no it’s not possible and they would have to get the manager (this is standard practice and every other manager we have encountered have said no problem at all).
The manager came over and raised her voice for the whole restaurant to hear as everyone in the restaurant looked over and stated ‘if I do it for you I have to do it for everyone’. Not at all. A simple explanation to customers who are verbally able and neurologically able to understand (which the child isn’t!) why you have cooked that child fries , isn’t hard and many people can see the child is special needs disabled and wouldn’t ask anyway.
We have travelled the length and breadth of the UK to many McDonald’s at breakfast time all of which managers have had no issue what so ever in cooking fries at breakfast! For instance Wychbold do! (they also gifted us a whole batch of burger buns when my son would only eat McDonald’s buns) I can’t believe the rudeness and intent to embarrass from the Manager at this store when you have a disabled child every day is difficult (yes we get on with it) but things like this especially how she raised her voice when there was no need to. She needs educating on special needs and disabled.
You expect a family to sit down and eat in front of a child who can’t have anything? (Not that we would if he couldn’t eat then we wouldn’t have ordered) but besides the point. The fact she raised her voice when she was asked nicely and questioned because we couldn’t understand why she would refuse when even head office state it shouldn’t be an issue.
This was nothing short of intending to embarrass us, we get enough stares as it is with a disabled child!
I’ve been there before and the fries are hit and miss some days too salty! Some days no salt!
A smile goes a long way!
So does having a little empathy.
I hope the manager has educated herself and taught herself to have some empathy and...
Read moreWent in the other night with my mother, grandmother and my 10 month old baby. We ordered and sat down and waited for food to be delivered to the table. When the food was delivered the lady was so lovely and asked about my son and if he was teething as he shad been whining a bit and offered him some free vanilla ice cream. Such a lovely gesture so thankyou for that. However my problem come from another member of staff who I left the restaurant feeling so angry and shook up and upset because of. Basically just before we went to leave my son had spoiled himself and so we needed to change his nappy. Me and my mother went to the baby change to sort him and it had been locked so we asked the janitor lady to open the door for us and she said it had been locked to stop the delivery drivers coming in and making a mess of it. She then said she would open the door for us but “it would cost me” she then proceeded to drag my baby boy from my arms without asking permission to touch him or hold him and shocked and stunned I just stood there while she held him cooing at him awkwardly next to me and my mother in the tiny area between all the toilets. My mother then took him out of her arms and she resisted a little before letting go of him and looking at me and saying “wow what a spoil sport”. At the time I was so stunned and shocked and upset but didn’t say anything though I wish I had. I am still so so angry about this situation as I do not know this woman and my son is obviously so prone to developing illnesses and viruses with him being so young and us not knowing what this woman may have. I have sent an email to McDonalds about this and am awaiting a reply. I cannot fathom why this woman thought she had any right to so much as touch my son without my permission so beware of this woman when you come in. As for the rest of the staff and the service couldn’t fault it and thankyou to the lovely lady who gave us ice cream for my son and was so polite...
Read moreI have to leave this review as I haven't been to this Mcdonalds for over three years (After moving away).
3 Years ago it was poor.
whenever we went the food was poor, wrong, cold + never ready by the time you get to the final window " Can you park in bay 1 please"
So tonight we were delivering christmas cards and swung by due to the time.
So nothing has changed and possibly worse.
After 10 minutes, we made it to the speaker to order.
After 10 minutes of being ignored, we finally got to order the food (Luckily we order via the app).
The code went through and we moved on two window number 1.
Nobody there, so we drove down towards the collection window. After waiting for maybe 5 mins for the car in front to finish complaining ( I don't blame them as they had to find a space and wait for thier food).
we got to the window and although our code had been accepted plus nobody was at the previous window, the lady at the window proceeded to say we had done the wrong thing. When I told her that nobody was the window, She told me there was but going between windows ( Like we should know). plus when we were at the intercom, one had a lady and one had a many talking.
Anyway after being informed of the correct procedure, we had to park up and wait for food (surprise)
So just to bullet point After receiving the food Chocolate milkshake (Tasteless) Fries - cold plus no salt 5 chicken selects - No sauces as per our order.
So the short version is Still the worst Maccys I have ever used in food quality and service.
I only gave it one star, so I could write a...
