Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine or simply looking to try something new and exciting, Saigon House is the place to be! Having recently opened its doors, this hidden gem in our local neighborhood is a breath of fresh air for food lovers seeking authentic Vietnamese flavors.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality by the owner, whose genuine smile and polite demeanor made me feel instantly welcome. It's clear that they take great pride in their establishment and are committed to providing a memorable dining experience for their guests.
The menu at Saigon House is a delightful journey through the diverse and vibrant flavors of Vietnam. Whether you're a fan of traditional classics like pho and banh mi, or you're eager to explore lesser-known dishes, this place has it all. I highly recommend starting with their fresh spring rolls, bursting with crisp vegetables and savory dipping sauce - a perfect way to awaken your taste buds.
For the main course, their pho is a definite must-try. The rich, aromatic broth, tender meat, and perfectly cooked noodles create a harmonious symphony of flavors that will transport you straight to the bustling streets of Saigon. Another standout dish is their lemongrass chicken, which is fragrant, tender, and paired with a zesty sauce that adds an irresistible tang.
What sets Saigon House apart is their attention to detail. Each dish is meticulously prepared with fresh ingredients, and the presentation is both appealing and appetizing. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave the restaurant fully satisfied.
The cozy ambiance of the restaurant adds to the overall experience. The warm lighting, stylish decor, and comfortable seating create a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to linger and savor every bite.
Overall, Saigon House is a culinary gem that has quickly become one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in town. With its attentive owner, polite staff, and flavorsome dishes that capture the essence of Vietnamese cuisine, this place is a true standout. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Vietnamese food or a curious newcomer, I strongly recommend giving Saigon House a visit. It's a dining experience that will leave you craving for more!

Read moreBoyfriend and I decided to check out this place, because recently I moved from Fargo to a small town a bit away from Aberdeen and missed the proper ethnic food. Thankfully, this was the right place to go!
The complaints I've seen cited in the reviews is small portions, expensive, and mean staff. None of these are remotely true. The portions are fairly sized, the food is the appropriate price for authentic cooking, and the staff are very nice.
The pho is wonderful. I appreciate that the staff decided to leave part of the ingredients on the side, because my boyfriend is a little picky about the taste of anise and other things, so I tend to not include it in my food so he can eat the leftovers. I haven't had proper pho since I was a kid with my Vietnamese friend, so it was truly wonderful to have it again.
Also, the coffee is a 10/10. You cannot go wrong with condensed milk in your coffee. The only thing I would recommend for the owners is to get to-go soup containers because the portions are well-sized and it can be difficult to finish it all in one sitting.
Definitely will be returning next time we have to swing through Aberdeen. I sincerely hope this place stays around for a...

However, the service and atmosphere at this place is absolutely atrocious. Unfortunately not many of the reviews go into how the staff treats their customers, however, the woman who works at the counter (owner) has had instances of yelling at customers if she's stressed. Even moreso, she has been seen yelling at her husband and complaining about Americans to him. I understand that restaurants can get busy and it can be a very stressful environment but that's just a reality of the food industry and customers shouldn't run the risk of being treated poorly during busy hours.
If you want good ethnic food in Aberdeen, this is the place to go. But know this: the staff of this place are highly unprofessional and the woman at the counter has been known to yell on busier,...
