Boone Street Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Aberdeen

I am a SouthSider since 1950. I remember the Blue Beacon back then. The food and service was well above average as far back as I can remember. I have to say since this Buster took over, my wife and I have been in there 5 times. 2 of them were the worst experience we have ever had with service. I can applaud only 2 waitresses who work there and they were working the bar and restaurant. Both unacceptable times we were served our beer quite quickly. The first time after we received our drinks, we waited 45 minutes just to get a menu. This was on Fathers Day mind you. I finally went to pay my bill for the drinks and they were not even on the computer. They asked if we ate dinner and that is when I blew a head gasket. The second time, was in August 2024. We received our Beverage and ordered soon after. We waited, and I'm not exaggerating 40 minutes. It was not busy and again, 1 waitress for the bar and restaurant. My wifes meal had been sitting on the shelf for quite some time and was waiting for a salad. A SALAD!!! I told the wife.......we're out of here. I caught the waitress and assured her we were not blaming her as we understood her problem. She said he had to boil eggs for the salad. SMH. The cook as we observed him was in nooooooo hurry about anything. It's a shame. The food is acceptable but the service...

I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Tried it twice and both times it was not editable. The biscuits and gravy I ordered the first time_ where raw in the middle. I didn't say anything and left feeling fusterated that breakfast.

A few months later, I decided to give them one more try for my lunch today. I ordered a burger with a salad and onion rings, they charged me an extra 2 dollars for the onion rings even though they cost the same as the fries and many other sides. This extra charge was fusterating because it doesn't say it on the menu.

When getting my box no salad was included, I went back to get my salad and asked for utensils, The waitress stated there in my togo box, there was no utensils in my togo box, As I went to pick my burger up to eat it_ the bottom bun fell off because it was so soggy, I couldn't pick it up less than 5 min after getting it. When returning for my utensils the waitress stated thats how the burger supposed to be, I asked for a refund and tiped those lovely ladies, trying to do their best. I went with my family 6/14 at 530pm. There was 5 of us. I am a waitress so I am very lenient with service as I understand it can get busy, mistakes happen etc. we got appetizers and entrees. I ordered a mushroom Swiss. I substituted the Swiss for cheddar. When I got the burger it still has Swiss. No biggie, mistakes happen. The waitress seemed irritated with me I mentioned it. I told her it’s fine. I will still eat it. My sons Rueben came bunt with pastrami eventho it says corn beef in menu. . My mom’s cod came and seemed like the oil had not been changed and was over cooked. I took a bite of my mushroom burger and it tasted awful. It had sweet relish on it. No where on the menu did it say it had sweet relish or I would have ordered it without. I told the waitress politely that my burger had relish. Her response was to tell me rudely “we aren’t Red Robin” then preceded to go to the kitchen. Ask me “did you hear the cook?
