Dunkin' — Restaurant in Abingdon

(06/23/25) We frequent this location when we are in the area because they do seem to get orders out fairly quickly and the workers always seem to be very cheerful and polite. Ive only had one mix up but it was so minor that there was no point in calling and complaining as I should have checked before leaving plus when your workers are very welcoming and helpful whats the point of being rude? Just my opinion… anyways instead of placing an online order as we normally do we decided to walk into this location because on the app the doughnut selection is always limited to one flavor and it would only allow me to pick decaf coffee. So we decided just to walk in and check, the worker informed us that they did have a variety of different doughnuts and plenty of regular coffee. So maybe have the techs running the app to check on that. Either way to the actual review we had 4 specialty drinks 2 coffee 2 frozen drinks, two hot items, and doughnuts we were in and out in about 15 minutes. This location is disgusting. It opened some time during spring and except for a very short period of time during July and June (and only in the mornings) their donuts are just plain nasty. Except for that golden period of time in the middle of summer, the donuts icing slips off and makes a sludgy mess. They taste like a freezer. I went by here a few weeks ago and never again. I went at night and you could hear music blaring, you could see the bums that work here out smoking. Then I went to the drive thru and I could hear someones conversation about picking their nose...No joke. I felt like it must have been a joke. I just decided to skip this one and honestly you should too. On top of all of this this location is a notoriously dangerous spot in town. Everyone knows it but they are probably hoping to get some clueless and desperate people off of I-81. Don't do it. You will regret it. I have never gotten coffee here that it did not make me sick. This has to be the worst Dunkin’ Donuts I’ve ever been to in my life. If you can take the extra five minute drive, go to exit 19. They consistently mess. Everything up, and half of the staff is usually rude one time, one of the staff even rolled her eyes at me. One time I gave the girl a dime because it was $3.07 and I used my app for $3 and she couldn’t comprehend how to give change for a dime… she took the dime and never gave me any change, which it’s $.03 but it’s just the point of how can you not offer someone their change back and just take it? I understand that working in Dunkin can be high maintenance, but you need to train your employees better and more efficiently. There are sometimes I have to wait 20 minutes for orders at night time when there is no line! I’m not sure, but it feels they need more training. I continually still go here, hoping that they will change, but it never changes. I hope management reads this and takes us into consideration.
