Some of the best Mexican food I've had since moving from Arizona! I had the beef fajitas, and they didn't disappoint! When I first arrived, I was greeted with a friendly smile and warm gestures to my table of choice. I was immediately asked what drink I'd like, and I ordered a margarita on the rocks with plenty of a salt rim. Delicious, it tasted as if it were made in the baja. Next, I received chips and dip, and while the red salsa was a little too spicy for me, the chips were a very welcome snack. I then ordered the beef fajitas, and they came on a sizzling hotplate that I was instructed not to touch, as it was clearly very hot. This was accompanied by 2 warm flour tortillas wrapped in foil (to stay warm and pliable), and the traditional accouterments of fresh guacamole, sour cream, shredded lettuce, tomato, and some delicious spanish rice and refried beans. Needless to say, I devoured everything as fast as I could roll it up in the warm tortillas. It was so fresh, delicious and seasoned perfectly! I also had plenty of leftovers. Attentive servers (mine was Jose), savory drinks and fantastic food make this a place worth looking up the next time you're in Abingdon. I will definitely be back, many many times! Thank you, El Bigotes!

Never got to eat. As soon as we walked in the young man at the front desk asked us if we had mask we said no and then said have a great day! There is no reason why he had to act like that!! To dismiss someone like that. Is it so hard to say well without a mask we will not be able to serve you and than let us get a mask or leave. I own a business and I believe you have the right to ask for mask to be on and I have the right to wear one or to leave. But I believe the way you handle the mask issue now will be the difference between making it and not after this is over. I hope the young man was only having a bad day. Just remember only 10 percent of the people who where not happy tell you, 90 percent never say a thing and never return! We where dismissed on 5/21/21 around 1230

The azteca sandwich was really good, but the Mexican Guacamole was quite disappointing in size. The guac had plenty of flavor but not even enough for 10 chips, they may have used 1/2 a small avocado or 1/4 of normal avocado. Since the sandwich was good I still gave a 4 star, but I would have preferred to give a 3 but service was good and they were quick so I think that was enough to bump them up to 4.

They are fast, inexpensive, courteous, genuine, and for the price, the food is really good. It's for sure the best Mexican restaurant in town. I've been dining there very regularly over the last 3.5 years at all different times of day and have never had them get an order wrong. The entire staff is super friendly, and for the very most part, the faces all stay the same year after year - so the management must do a great job and no one is ever driven to quit. In most restaurants, If you go very frequently over the course of two or three years, you'll see many employees come and go. The owner works as hard as any of his employees and is always kind and polite. He seems to truly and humbly appreciate my business every single time I go. Thank you to the whole staff at El Bigotes for being good people and providing great food and...

The staff is friendly. The food came out quickly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The chips and salsa were ok. The salsa didn't taste very fresh (tasted store bought vs. Homemade) and it was a little bland for my tastes. The prices weren't bad, but there are other places you can get more for your money. I had the Crazy Pollo and again it was ok. A little bland like the salsa. My husband had chorizo tacos and I wished I had gotten them. They looked fresh and light and he said they were delicious. They were served with a different salsa and it was way better than the one that came with the chips! If we go there again I would either get the tacos or ask the staff for a suggestion. Overall it was ok, I would eat there again, but it isn't going to become a staple for my...
