Kam's Cuisine Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Acushnet

Wow. I had been going there to eat and drink on a regular basis. Usually spending 55 - 60 dollars (one person)a pop. Food was ok. But as someone new to the area I wanted to establish my go to place. Bar crowd (customers) nice folks. I usually would have one maybe two drinks, but I ordered lots of food to have left overs. They would get annoyed if I didnt order a 3rd drink. If I had I would have been overserved.

A few times I ordered $60 plus worth of food to go. After paying I was leaving and turned around and said...is tnere hot mustard in there? "no that cost .50 cents". Oh i just paid and dont have any cash, can I have one. "No, 50 cents." So they wouldnt give it to me. I said I cone here all the time, she nodded, and said .50 cents. This happened 3 times on my take out orders. Never again will i go to Kams.

We had the house lo mein. Pu pu platter for three , pork fried rice . I was very surprised how good the food was , the shrimp look like onion rings very good . Chicken wings and finger's were very nice , not greasy like most places . The ribs are fantastic . I was shocked how good the egg rolls are they actually had pork in them the way they should be. Steak on the stick was very nice . Im a big fan of spicy food so I tried the hot mustard , let me say this this place knows what they are doing i could be wrong, but I think they're using wasabi.In their hot mustard and it's fantastic with a little horse radish I used it on almost everything. Im pretty sure they make it fresh . The lo mein is a flat noodle im a round noodle guy but it was very good . I would highly recommend this place if you are sick of getting horrible chinese food in this area I have tried 95% and most of them are horrible in this area. This will be the only place I go in this area for chinese food . I will be back for sure . I really enjoyed myself two...

I ordered the sesame chicken combination plate, which came with sesame chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll.

Good: The portion was big, especially for the price.

Bad: Everything else. The fried rice was not very good, particularly because there was an excess of raw onions in it. The egg roll was bland but inoffensive. The sesame chicken sauce (and the general tso's sauce that I tried off of someone else's plate) was easily the worst I have ever had -- it tasted overpoweringly like soy sauce and there was quite a lot of it. I have had frozen general tso's/sesame chicken sauces that had a wider and tastier range of flavors.

Conclusion: Would never go again, except out of...
