My husband, 2 small children, and I stopped here for lunch today. It was the first time we'd been here so we got a few things to share. The available space indoors is really limited so keep that in mind before taking a whole party of people to lunch, haha. There were two tables with 3 chairs and a few with 2 chairs. There's seating outside, as well (picnic tables) but it was unseasonably cold and rainy today so we sat inside.
Chips & salsa (free): delicious; definitely the best of any Mexican place we've been to in Ada.
Queso: white and runny and delicious, just the way it should be.
I got the (4) street tacos al pastor, and they were very good. The toppings were all on the side, which I appreciate, as I chose to skip the grilled onions. The meat was generous and so were the toppings. They came with tomatillo salsa, two lime wedges, grilled and raw onions, and cilantro. I think the meal was supposed to also include beans and rice but I had more than enough food to fill me up so I didn't mind that mine was missing. I'm sure I could have asked and they'd have brought them out if I had wanted them.
My husband got Mimi's nachos (beef). They came topped with cheese dip, ground beef, refried beans, lettuce, sour cream, pico, guac, and tomatoes. Again, the toppings were very generous and everything was made from scratch. The beans were delicious and I don't typically care for beans of any kind. My husband couldn't even finish these, so there's plenty if you're a moderate eater and want to share.
Both of my children ordered a kid's chicken soft taco, which was definitely big enough to fill up a child and came with rice and beans. The taco comes with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes on it so be aware of that if you're ordering for a picky child like mine.
The waitress was attentive and both ladies working there today were super friendly. We will definitely be back. I think this is our new favorite place for Mexican food in Ada.
With the cheese dip, two kids' meals, two entrèes, and two drinks (not water), our total came to...
Read moreHad a pleasing curb appeal, to grab my attention. It was almost like one of those places that had a specific look, in which you know the food is going to be amazing. And that was absolutely true! With the help of a very knowledgeable and Sweet waitress I was able to try the authentic Mexican Street Tacos, Mimi Burrito (which could feed 2 adults), and the MiMi nachos which where all mouth watering, and didn't taste like the typical TexMex food I have come accustomed to from almost every Mexican Restaurant. Only down side, is the restaurant could only fit maybe 15 people at a time on the inside, and outside eating area was plain and nonenjoyable. I recommend getting food ToGo, as you will be so much...
Read moreMimi's is a great restaurant. I came in at 30 minutes to close. They seated me immediately and had my food ready in 10 minutes: the staff was really kind and awesome.
I got street tacos al pastor and they were excellent! 4 tacos, marinated pork, grilled onion, sweet onion, cilantro, some very good salsa verde, and a side of rice and beans for less than $10.00. Plus chips and salsa; salsa is VERY good.
This place seats around 15 indoors, and maybe 20 outdoors. A bit smaller but not uncomfortable. The restaurant is located right off the highway, has a very cute atmosphere, and is a great price. I...
