Alright, listen up, my fellow food enthusiasts! Let’s talk about Boehringer's Drive-In, the kind of place that makes your taste buds do the cha-cha and your heart do a little happy dance. If you haven’t been there yet, what are you even doing with your life?

First off, this place is like the holy grail of drive-ins. You roll up in your ride, and it’s like time travel—back to the days when burgers were bigger than your head and fries were practically a food group. I ordered a burger that was so massive, I thought I’d need a crane to lift it. Seriously, this thing had more layers than my emotional baggage. Each bite was like a flavor explosion in my mouth, like a fireworks show but with ketchup and mustard instead of sparklers.

And let’s talk about the fries. Oh my sweet, crispy goodness! They were golden and crunchy, like little potato soldiers ready to march right into your stomach. I swear, I could have bathed in them. If I had a dollar for every fry I devoured, I could probably fund my next superhero movie. And the dipping sauces? Don’t even get me started! It’s like they have a secret lab somewhere concocting these magical potions that elevate your fry experience to levels previously thought impossible.

Now, the shakes! Oh boy, the shakes. I ordered a chocolate shake that was so thick, I half-expected it to fight back. It was like a milkshake on steroids—if steroids were made of pure deliciousness. I had to use a spoon and a straw simultaneously, which is a skill I didn’t know I needed in my life. It was like a workout and a dessert all in one!

And the ambiance? Picture this: classic cars, neon lights, and the smell of grilled burgers wafting through the air. It’s like a scene straight out of a retro movie, but with fewer sock hops and more food comas. The staff was so friendly, you’d think they were trained by golden retrievers. They made you feel like family, the kind of family that feeds you delicious food and doesn’t ask too many questions about your questionable life choices.

So, if you’re in the mood for a culinary adventure that will leave your taste buds singing and your stomach begging for mercy, head over to Boehringer's Drive-In. Just be prepared to roll out of there like a burrito, because once you dive into their menu, there’s no turning back. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you, and your waistline might just file a...

OMG!!!!!! If you want the best barbecue in the world stop in, but it's not just the barbecue that's amazing, it's the California cheeseburgers, hot ham and cheese, hot dogs, fries. Everything on the menu is incredible. I love the ice cream and they will make you a killer milkshake with any flavor. You can sit outside on the picnic tables and eat if you choose. The only negative is they are seasonal and I unfortunately have to wait for the warmer months for the barbecue. In a season I must order at least a total of 100 barbecues or more and I've been coming here since the 70's. Their food has not changed in the slightest and has always been amazing. Probably why Boehringer's is packed every single day from the season opening day until the seasons last. Over all the years coming here, I've never heard anything bad and if you never tasted their barbecue than you're really missing out because once you have tasted Boeheringers barbecue, I guarantee you'll be back and no other barbecue will ever be...

This is the pinnacle of fast food and/or ice cream. First, the location is easy and convenient off a main road and is directly in front of a beautiful creek. There are plenty of outdoor seating and the speed of their service is pretty good. What makes them stand out though is their pricing. It's unmatched. I have 6 children, plus myself and my wife. We don't have a ton of money and spend what we do have frugally to be able to take our kids places. We almost never eat out because I can make a dinner for all of us for under 10$ and a normal outing would cost us well over a hundred dollars and sometimes that wouldn't include desserts. I can go here, with all of us, and spend 70$, feed 8 people a dinner and ice cream afterwards. This price could be lower too if we didn't get milkshakes or fries for everyone. Eating and watching ducks in a creek. All in one location. Absolutely one of my favorite places...

Wonderful roadside stop just off Rt. 222 Adamstown PA. Large variety of ice cream flavors & creations along with the "grill" menu fit the bill to satisfy hungry people on the go or just out enjoying the day. Family owned and operated, the staff is a young crew that is very pleasant, works hard to accommodate customers and is happy to serve. (Please tip as many are working their way through school). The building and parking lot are spotless. The grounds, with quaint picnic tables, flowers blooming and a spectacular brook that runs along side the property are the cherry on top! (Too cool watching the duck families while devouring my Butterscotch Sundae!) Enjoy. Spread the word not Covid-19! (Masks were worn following protocol the day I visited.)

What a lovely little shop. My friends rave about the ice cream and food here so I decided to pop in on a very beautiful day. Got a scoop of chocolate almond amaretto in a waffle cone. Amazing. Plenty of outdoor seating. There is a small creek right on the property, kids were jumping in it, feeding the ducks. Very wholesome. I just sat on the edge of the creek and enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine. And the ice cream of course. A nice place to just kick your feet up and enjoy some food and ice cream in a relaxing atmosphere. Oh, and great prices, super budget friendly. Loved it.

Boehringer’s Drive-In has that perfect nostalgic charm and has been around for decades. Even when it’s busy, you can usually find parking and an outdoor table. The chili dog and fries (which taste fresh, not frozen) were very good, and the local potato chips are a nice touch. They’ve got some really good root beer and birch beer, plus a solid ice cream selection—dense, flavorful, and not melty. The retro food and drink trays add to the experience, and the nearby stream with ducks gives it a fun, relaxed vibe. Highly recommend!
