Went there quite often for breakfast, during the week and weekends. Breakfast was always good except the potatoes which were just so so. The last time we went there we went inside on a Sunday morning after reading the sign” seat yourself “ so we went in and saw 2 empty booths and headed for one when we were stopped by one of the waitresses who ask us “ who told you to come in” ? I said sign says seat yourself and there are 2 empty booths. Waitress said table isn’t set up yet so go out and sign the book and wait till we call you. I said why don’t you chang the sign,so she changed it to “ wait to be seated” that was enough so we left cause I can go and spend my money elsewhere and not be served by a rude waitress.left there and went to the cloister restaurant in Ephrata. Ordered their special of 3 eggs, potatoes choice of meat and toast and coffee for $ 6.99. So Mr.Dave you can keep your rude waitress and I’ll spend my...

Food was very good. I had a Swiss & mushroom burger with fries, yum! The service was terrible. There were only 4 customers when we arrived. We finished looking at the menu and laid them on the table, the 3 waitresses just stood in a circle talking for 4-5 minutes about personal things before one of them finally came over and took our order. This same scenario happened again when I wanted an onion on my burger and when we were ready to pay our bill. We finally went up to the counter to pay the bill, and our waitress laughed and said, "Oh I was supposed to come get that, but I busy talking to my coworkers!"...

I am thinking that breakfast is probably better than lunch, leading to the higher ratings.

Menu is very limited. We stopped in on Sunday, January 15th. Ordered a bowl of their "best of Lancaster County" Chicken corn rivel soup, and a cheeseburger. Wife and I shared both. The soup was ok, but very small rivels. Broth was ok, but if this is the best in the area, not overly impressed. The burger was good however we ordered medium well and parts were medium rare.

Overall, an ok place but wouldn't go out of my way for lunch. With two soft drinks, our bill was over $25. Kind of pricey for two...

Let me start by saying, it's an old school diner through and though. The bacon was awesome. It was crispy and flavorful. The fruit was fresh and juicy. The pancakes were fluffy and light. The bacon egg and cheese on the hamburger roll was phenomenal. The coffee was good. The orange juice was really good. I'm not sure if it was fresh squeezed or not, but it was def better then orange sugar water. The staff was what really.made this place stand out. They were so pleasant and attentive. Dave who ever you are..... Great job my friend. I really like everything about this place.

Arrived at 10:50 on a Sunday in March. It was busy. Difficult to find parking. The rule (that we didn't know) was: if all of your party has not arrived, you have to put your name in the book and wait in the vestibule. Then we got a table (4 seater booth or single seating at the counter). Service was really hoppin'! A nice menu selection, prices were fair and portions were large. Very good food, served hot and fast. Cheeseburger and fries, chicken fingers, a poached eggs with toast and OJ. I would definitely return!

It's very busy and if you see people sitting out in the outer doors sign the notebook on the desk at the door with the number of people in your group or find a seat at the counter. Try tasting the food before seasoning it. The pancakes 🥞 tasted like cake, sweet and fluffy - syrup seemed unnecessary. The waitresses all friendly and busy. Everyone was soooo friendly unbelievably so.
