Apollo Grill — Restaurant in Addison Township

This is near my house and I can't tell you why I haven't come in a while. There is a nice selection on their menu. The owner has always been there when we come. I wanted something light, so I went with the chicken ka-bob plate. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful! It came with a warm pita, cut up in quarters and rice, Greek potatoes, and a salad with Greek dressing. I thoroughly enjoyed. My husband had the half grecian chicken. Usually, the breast wherever you go is dry. This was soft and was dripping with juice. Not just juice on it hiding dryness, but actually juicy. His fries were fresh and crisp and did not have that oil taste. You could actually taste the potato. We love the atmosphere, it's calm and surroundings just feel peaceful. I highly recommend to put this in your regular rotation...

The food is decent enough for a greasy spoon style menu. A little pricy, but that seems to be the trend at Fast food joints now days. The decor is something to be desired - tables are nice, chairs are nice, even the tile is nice. But the walls are mostly bare, small generic reprint photos make for little decoration. 2 small TVs are wall mounted and might as well not be there considering there size is unnoticeable. States that this is a Mediterranean restaurant. Nothing Mediterranean about it. The vibe inside is as if you walk into a retirement home. The guy taking the order wasn’t very talkative. Just kept mumbling on my question. Got the chicken ke bob (how it says on menus) , just a piece of chicken breast grilled on a flattop no seasoning nothing just light salt and pepper rice is like a very dry pilaf salad was just a no drenched in some sauce , got the spinach pie also, very dry just a thin layer of fillo with a couple lumps of spinach, no flavor nothing.
