Wing Ho Chop Suey — Restaurant in Lombard

I’ve been eating at Wing Ho for over 30 years. They changed owners recently and at first was still decent, we ordered a few months ago and everything was bland and orange Chicken was horrible and was like chewing rubber , figured it was a off day ordered again and and this time chicken was still horrible like rubber and the food was bland and you can tell was all frozen even the veggies, so last night we figured I’d give them one more chance told the person over the phone that I had been a loyal customer for over 30 years and what was going on literally just asked me what I wanted and didn’t say anything so whatever , but to my disappointment the food was horrible again just bland same issues with the orange chicken , but price oh that went up. I’m very sad to write this review but enough is enough with this new ownership. They just care about money and not putting out at least decent product. The food was awful! The Orange chicken was dry and hard lacking flavour. The Crab Rangoon was very dry, and my toddler threw it at the wall, yelling and crying. The shrimp fried rice was Bland it lacked flavour, and some of the rice 🍚 was still white. The Singapore noodles were cut up into little bitty teeny pieces, and it tasted disgusting. I spoke with the owner for over 40 minutes. He pled his case, stating that he was supervising the kitchen and everything was fine. I argued that just because everything seemed okay doesn't justify anything because apparently you're not the one that has to eat it, and apparently, you're not taste testing the food. I politely ask for a refund. The owner respectfully complied. I even advised him to go look at his google reviews. People aren't lying on you because something has changed with your food. Very disappointed We had a taste for something sweet and a little spicy. My daughter had been begging to go to Panda Express. As a dad I wanted to introduce her to a, new to us local, Chinese restaurant close to our home to keep local businesses in business. We use Google to choose the restaurant with the best rating 4.2 win the area. I was explaining to my daughter how much better the food is going to be than a chain restaurant like Panda Express. This was not the case we ordered Orange chicken and General Tau chicken. Two dishes that we could not wait to get our hands on. We called in the order and it took less that 17 minutes to be ready.
