For a quick lunch option, Asti is kind of awesome. They have great sandwiches, really excellent soups that must be homemade (they taste that good), and the pizza is great if you like 'bite,' but minimal sogginess versus those sauce-heavy pizzas out there.

I've seen them for years kind-of-sort-of, but they mix in with some of the high-end auto body shops here in Bensenville... perhaps they should put some signage closer to the street like "Italian Subs Here!" or something, lol.

Sandwiches! The bread is fresh and they offer a variety of styles. I like the french, as it's soft and yet crusty; just how it should be. The toppings are really good looking since the place is a deli, and that affords them (and us customers!) the luxury of fresh-sliced meats. Add-ons like lettuce, tomato and other toppings look ripe and never hour-old.

Soups! Really, this area surprised me since I expect a Polish deli to have excellent soups, but NOT an Italian deli. While the soups tend to cover the standard 'Americanized' range (cream of chicken, minnestrone and the like), they are all just so tasty and don't feel sourced from some mass-supplier to restaurants. I love Italian Wedding soup and it's so salty at Portillo's (love them though); Asti has an excellent version and the sodium is reduced to a level that makes it perfect. Also, their cream soups are really CREAM soups. They taste 100% creamy and there was certainly no attempt to hide what should be great quality with low-end fillers like milk or water (I'm looking at you, Panera!) Seriously, try a cream of (your fave) soup; satisfaction guaranteed.

That's it for now. Love the place and the employees are always buzzing around and working. Prices are a touch lower than Jimmy John's and very on par with Panera. I like Gina's Hotdogs, which is almost next door, but Asti's soup and sandwich pairings make lunch my favorite time of the workday!

PS - The place looks cool too! Outdoor seating (nicely done to boot) and the inside looks all...

Went here for lunch and this time I got an Italian beef sandwich - ordered it with both hot and sweet peppers. Though it was deep into lunchtime, a table was available and the nice lady brought lunch over on a tray. The sandwich was sufficiently most (without asking to be dipped, forgot), peppers were a little hotter than I expected but welcomed, and tasty. Definitely fresher tasting than going to Portillo's or other places for their beef sandwiches. Place is a bit cozy but sufficient for lunchtime with plenty of seats. No fountain drinks but canned and bottled drinks are good enough for most everybody. Parking will be a bit tight since it's a smaller strip mall - there's an adjoining lot to the west so it's just fine. I've been here many times before and their other sandwiches, hot and cold, are tasty as well. They also have other offerings like salads, soups, pastas, pizza, and a large assortment of sides like fries. A girl I was sweet with recommended this place when talking about good places to eat. This is great since I am not from this area of Elk Grove Village, Wood Dale, and Bensenville, and didn't know any good places to eat as I work near here - at least the ones away from the popular fast food types. She knows her food...

So food was great but my order was 17.26$ total and my debit was charged 20.71$ and I didn’t even eat in I was in and out 2 minutes funny thing is I asked manager who rang me out if I need to sign anything answer was no oh and the funny part is she isn’t the one who took my order or anything but I find it funny that it’s exactly 20% of my total so she added a tip good thing I have text alerts from my bank so I call she gets handed the phone I explain and ask if they charge for debit she says no and it wouldn’t be 20% anyway so I tell her what’s the problem I get put on hold for 10 minutes twice hung up on both times and then told that she doesn’t see anything on there end but I could hear them talking while trying to muffle the phone about what they or she had did so I strongly suggest pay with cash foods great but wasn’t aware you need to tip for a pick up order to someone that didn’t have anything to do with taking or making my order. I have pictures as well to prove to different management and or owner as...

My recent visit to Asti Italian Deli was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread. As I perused the menu, I couldn't help but be impressed by the variety of options available. From classic sandwiches to hearty pasta dishes, Asti Italian Deli offers a taste of Italy that is sure to satisfy any craving. I ultimately decided to try their signature veggie sandwich on focaccia, and I'm so glad I did. The combination of thinly sliced tangy provolone cheese, and crisp lettuce between two large slices of focaccia bread was nothing short of perfection. In conclusion, Asti Italian Deli is a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors in a cozy and inviting setting. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or lingering over a leisurely meal, you're sure to leave with a satisfied stomach and a smile on your face. We ordered a focaccia bread to go it was delicious !

I'm from Chicago. I'm a local truck driver and i deliver in this area. I always pass this place up because there's always a long line, and the parking lot is always full. Well , today i bit the bullet and decided to jump in the long line. To my delight, the line went by fast, and my order was taken and i was served promptly. I ordered the club sandwich, and it was amazing! And from what I was looking at while i was there, everyone was eating something that looked even more fantastic than the last dish i looked at. Different sandwichs, different pastas, different salads, it was like heaven. They even have pizza by the slice. This place is a gold mine ! I will be back to try the rest of the menu. This place is great ! A lil crowded, but well worth it.

I stopped at Asti today for the 1st time. I have heard this place is great but have never been in the area. Today, on my way home from Elk Grove FedEx, I stopped & I am so glad I did!! I have been sick for days & just wanted some homemade chicken soup. I stocked up for the week with 3 different soups, meatball sub, roast beef sub. The soups are so delicious & exactly what I had a taste for. Delicious broth, fresh crackers, delicious sub on great bread. I'll definitely be back again. Now that I know how great it is, it will be worth the 30 minute drive. A nice gentleman even loaded my big box in the car! Great food & ⭐️ service. Thanks Asti for your kindness & keeping Miss Dottie's Pound Cake going today!!
