I ordered 2 eggs poached and got "4" good sized eggs. Sourdough toast, coffee, and sausages. Tasty! After Illinois high taxes and a generous tip, $22, cash. There is a extra charge card fee if you charge it. Clean look, new china and silverware, coffee was good, grill is still seasoned. Some of the friendly waitress staff got rehired. 10am weekday crowd of older folk have to endure teen pop music that was a bit loud close to a ceiling speaker and not one TV, in the place. Miss sitting at the counter and watching/listening to the news like I did at Christy's. Updated the dated dining area with a long booth seat all along the west wall, under the egg house sign. Tables and chairs finishing a minimalist decor. Customer WIFI is available IF you know the password. I tried and couldn't connect with the password they gave me. Tried several variations without success.

We stopped by Egg House for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by how inviting the newly renovated space felt - clean, bright, and cheerful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I ordered the country fried steak with over easy eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. Everything was cooked to perfection- crispy edges on the hash browns, fluffy pancakes, and the steak was tender with just the right amount of crunch. The food itself is classic breakfast fare, but it’s done right. The menu has a great selection, and it’s clear they care about quality and consistency. We left full and happy - we’ll be back again soon. Solid breakfast in a cozy, refreshed setting.

1st time in today after christi's closed. It is my son’s 18 birthday and he wanted to try it. Theresa the server was great , very friendly and fast . Kept filling up my coffee and food was great. Will definitely come back. I love the new look and It seems busy but still had good attention to our table. A men with a blue shirt came to ask how was everything so i’m thinking is a manager or owner but that was very nice .They also gifted him his chocolate pancakes which was very kind.

It was so refreshing to see some of the staff from Christy's here. The environment is so beautiful. The atmosphere is so uplifting and friendly and the owners are so nice you guys have to check this out.

(For those of you who are boycotting this place, because you think that the previous owner was forced to sell, that simply is not true.He literally just wanted to retire , and he did it on his own terms! My husband was going to Christy's since the late 90s, his family happens to know Guss and his family very well, so we wish them the best of luck.)

You are definitely missing out If you decide to not walk into this joint!

One thing I love is that the staff that came from Christy's are super happy, and that should tell you something huge.

Our waitress that came from Christie's Kayla was bubbly, as she always was, and we even seen Nelly and a few other familiar faces. The owner was involved, greeted us and was humble and easy to talk to.

The prices are not that bad. It's actually a little cheaper than what Christy's was.

Here they brought back Texas Toast , which some people know is greek toast , which is great! The pictures do no Justice to the taste of the food.

We are definitely looking forward to going back next week!!

We definitely recommend this place and they have a sister chain in Lombard, in which is as equally as aliquette, eligant and beautiful as this...

This establishment will never match the quality of Christy's. Our initial and final visit were both disappointing. We waited over twenty minutes for a menu and no one acknowledged our presence at the counter. I had to physically approach a line cook for a menu, then wait another ten minutes for someone to inquire about our drink preferences. Subsequently, another ten minutes were spent waiting for our drinks to be prepared. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was exceptional, but its high cost, particularly without champagne, and the lack of this option, will not encourage a return visit. Yes, they have renovated the interior, but the contractor they engaged was clearly not professional, and numerous shortcuts were evident. A place we frequented every Sunday has now become a place we will...
