Horrific!! Do not do it!! My wife & I took my mother here for her birthday. We all three ordered calzones, they got small & I ordered a large. My wife & mother got their calzones about 15 minutes after we ordered (normal) & 5 mins go by then 10 & nothing for me. I ask what’s going with mine & inquire if mine was skipped. They said the large has to go through the oven twice which makes no sense. They wouldn’t admit that my order was skipped & truth be told they started cooking mine after I asked why it was taking so long. I finally get my meal 15 mins later, a total of 25 mins after my wife & mother got their food. My mothers birthday was ruined & they did not offer a refund. I will never go to this restaurant again. They did nothing to make this right & acted like it was no big deal that they skipped my order & ruined my meal. Folks working there were more concerned with call in orders. There was a couple who also dined in and ordered large calzones and they had theirs about 15 minutes after they sat down from ordering. Apathetic and rude staff who were more concerned about to-go box stacking and their cell phones. You should avoid at all costs! This was on 5/27/2023...
Read moreThe pizza was really good and yummy.. And everyone was so nice and helpful, me and my family were traveling back to FL from TN and stopped here for pizza after calling ahead and placing the order so it would be ready by the time we got to that exit. We'll I called the wrong one so when I got here they said they could have it ready in 12 mins if I wanted to order from this one instead. I went to talk it over whether we wanted to wait or just keep going and get something quicker since we were in a time crunch and when I came back in to say I did want to order they already tossed the crust which saved time and it only took about 7 mins from then. It was just awesome service and gestures from everyone and I...
Read moreI had their pizza a few days ago. And I do believe they took me back to my homestate, New York. I know it's a northeast thing, but you can tell alot by a slice that you can fold. The dough wasn't doughy, the consistency was just right. It also had quality mozzarella, not a knockoff.
The only reason I'm giving a four star instead of five is due to the sauce. New Yorkers tend to make a more savy sauce. This one was sweet.
I will return to Dough Boys in the future to be reminded of ole good NYC pizza. So, if you get a chance check them out!
UPDATE: something has change with their recipe. They add garlic butter or something. It's off and I've move on in believing it...
