The Parrish House — Restaurant in Adel

Drove over an hour from Douglas Georgia to try this place. Called to see what was on the menu. Baked fish, fried fish, pork chops, fried chicken, rutabaga, squash, turnip greens, Mac& cheese, hush puppies, rolls, cornbread, baked chicken, rice, tomato gravy. As you can imagine I was quite hungry after hearing this. Arrived at 1pm, they close at 2. No fish,no pork chops, two hush puppies. Everything was cold. Two spoonfuls of speggeti. They did have chili which was not on the menu. Dessert was subpar. Then I got charged full price for the meal that was nothing to what I was told. Needless to say We Won't Be Back. My husband and I were traveling from Hahira to Sparks today and stopped at Parrish House Restaurant. The food was perfectly prepared Southern Cuisine. Everything we tried was an outstanding example of old southern cooking and obvious that it was prepared from scratch. Friendly, clean, great service and step back into time to the old southern traditions. We are already talking about going back tomorrow for lunch. I'm not one to be perfectly satisfied with an eating establishment, but have nothing bad to say about the Parrish House Restaurant. We absolutely enjoyed every inch of our lunch...

I am willing to make the drive from Valdosta to dine here! Top notch food quality on the hot bar, excellent salad bar with exquisite options, delectable assortment of desserts, and unlimited water and teas included with the buffet! One of the easiest places to get full and happy! One little side note, the lady who refills drinks comes by frequently and I don't think I've ever seen the bottom of my glass! They make you feel welcome and when you're done eating, you know you've gotten your money's worth...
