El Montecito Mexican & American Restaurant — Restaurant in Adelanto

Oh man was not expecting this level of awesome! The place looks questionable upon arrival, it's one of those "little hole in the wall" probably the most slept on place in all of the high desert. First off the service was 2nd to none! Very clean tables, and the lady was so nice and on top of everything! As soon as we needed something she was right there with a replacement. The oranje juice was awesome, and the chips and salsa were warm and fresh. We ordered menudo, a wet burrito with berria and al pastor, and quesabirria tacos with consome.. everything came steaming hot and fresh, and then when we tried the food, let me tell you! Omfg that first bite! Explosion of flavor! Like this flavor literally sang to my taste buds! If you are questioning about trying this spot and are reading my comment, do yourself a favor and run to you car and make the drive! Run! Don't walk! Thank me after lol..

If I could give 10 stars I would! I can not believe the gem I found! A++++ to this establishment! I am grateful such a wonderful spot...

Feeling some type of way right now . I have been eating here for a while now, two of the girls on day shift even know me that's how much I frequent this spot . Today I ordered two California wet burritos. Only to get home to find out the fries where missing ( mind you this is the second occurrence). I called to just inform them , the lady, I tell her what happen , clam an collective , she responds " he said he put fries inside " my response was " Ma'am I have NO reason to lie about fries missing from my burrito, maybe there was a menu change to the California burrito I was unaware about but I'm letting you know BOTH of my $14 burritos are missing fries " she took my name and said she will speak to her manager about the small mishap. I would hate to have to stop coming here and the food is really good . The food is amazing but the customer service is terrible. We walked in and didn’t get greeted. A older white couple came in and got the menus handed to them and seated with chips and salsa. We didn’t once get asked if the food was for here or to go, so we sat at a dining table assuming they’d bring it as a dine in meal.. when the food was ready, one of the workers walked up rudely and said “excuse me your food is ready” as our meals were sitting in bags on the counter.
