Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Adrian

Ordered Pizza and after an hour I called the branch to see where my pizza was. Only thing I heard was "Thanks for calling Hungry Howie’s Pizza this is Chad please hold" then click.... After 10 minutes on hold I wrote this review. I used to order Hungry Howie’s all the time but after this experience I will find another supplier.

UPDATE: After the timer on my phone got to 10 mins I hung up, wrote the above review then called the branch back. Chad answered again and I asked to not be placed on hold again, Chad said "OK" and click, I was placed on hold again. Now I was really angry I called corporate and was forwarded to someone’s voicemail, I left a message, don't know what else I was expecting. The driver arrived with the order after 1 hour and 10 minutes, I was on the phone with Chad when he arrived and Chad placed me on hold again but this time I was ok with waiting as long as he wanted because his driver was waiting also. I knew it wouldn't be long now. So Chad answers the phone after 6 minutes on hold and we get into an argument right away, he was being condescending saying things like "do you want me to speak in a higher pitched voice?" after I told him I did not like how he was talking to me. I was really amazed that any business would be trusted to someone who acted like this.

After arguing with Chad for 15 minutes he gets around to asking me for my phone number and says he will call his driver to see where he is, something in his voice changed when I told him "Ohh, he's here, he's been here the last 20 minutes while you've had me on hold and wanted to argue with me."

Got the pizza for free, won't be ordering from them again until Chad is replaced with someone who knows how to...

Today I received a promotional flyer in the mail. I decided pizza sounded good, and I never order from Hungry Howies, so I figured I would give it a try. I used the coupon "triple toppers". Code PC11. Anyways, I ordered 2 large 3 topping pizzas, one with pineapple, bacon, and chicken. The second with sausage, bacon, and green pepper. The whole time I was on the phone with the person who took my order I could barely hear them, I'm not sure why but my phone volume was up on Max. I'm not sure if it's the phone system or the worker having a low tone voice. Either way it took me asking 3 times to find out how long it would be until it was ready because I couldn't hear them. I got to the store with my $20.13 counted out already that I figured before I ordered. 18.99 plus 6% tax I got to the store and they wanted to charge me extra because of the chicken. I didn't even bring extra money! The manager just looked at me like I was stupid and didn't say anything. I told her it was not fair to be charged extra without it starting so on the coupon. No where on the coupon did it say there was an extra charge for chicken. I DID NOT order deep dish or more than 3 toppings. The manager on duty tonight acted as if she could not do anything about it, she had to charge whatever the computer said, which is just completely insane that you have managers that can't, or won't do any decision making. Needless to say this location lost more than 2 dollars for a premium topping fee, they lost a customer. We are not going to support being charged hidden costs! The 3 Cheeser-Bread Sticks are the only thing we buy from Hungry Howie's Pizza. The Breadsticks are so so delicious. The crust is hot, light, and fluffy! The cheese, herbs, and spices that they use on top are such an amazing combination! No dipping of marinara sauce here! Instead, we just get 2 ranch dressings for the two of us. It is a fantastic meal/snack. We ask for plates and take it to the local park and dig in! I have to note that this place has one of the best Hungry Howie 3 Cheesers in the lower mid Michigan area. The only one better is in Eaton Rapids. We live in the Jackson area, so we will drive to Adrian or Eaton Rapids just to get their Three-Cheeser Breadsticks! It must also be mentioned that the staff and the atmosphere are top notch here in Adrian, too! We are 2 very satisfied customers here. Please don't change what good you got...
