Probably the ✨️best✨️ restaurant in Aguada in terms of food and service.
GrandMa Steak House is a restaurant just next to the traffic light, after taking the marginal road to the right if you're coming from Mayaguez.
The first thing you'll notice entering here is the ambiance. It's a well-lit, spacious restaurant with soothing jazz music.
Outstanding service. They took our order, followed immediately by garlic bread and salad. The food arrived in 15-20 minutes time. Extremely fast considering that it was packed full.
The food was just excellent. I had the chicken pimonte w/ mofongo, and it was perfect. The mofongo is full of garlic (but not overwhelming) and the chicken was cooked to perfection.
One of my family members had a mofongo relleno (in the 2nd picture) and they thought it was excellent.
Edit for later visit: The cauliflower pizzas are extraordinary. Large and exquisite.
Prices for food are average. Drinks a bit higher than average.
Overall, one of Aguada's best. If you're in Aguada, or passing by, give this place a visit. I...
Read moreWe went in with an open mind and hungry. But we were very dissatisfied. My spouse went for a pichana and I went for an octopus salad. Si got a sirloin over cooked and nothing similar to a pichana steak cut. And let me tell you we lived 32 years in Florida and spent a lot of time in Argentina, Brazilian and Uruguayan steak houses in Miami. We been all over like Italy, Germany and half of Central America and I gave been to every country in central and South America. That steak was terrible. And my octopus salad was submerged in olive oil no tasted great but was like an olive oil soup with octopus. Must have just poured what was left and gave to me. What’s worse is I should have just sent it back but was so tired I just let it go. I never do this but I will not return to this steak house ever again. It on number two toad just after agua da entrance going towards aguadilla. Expensive not good food and the service left a lot to be desired. I give it a...
Read moreI just had an early dinner with my wife here. Celebrating our 30th Anniversary. From start to finish it was a great experience. The place has just the right lighting, pleasant temperature. The seating was just right. They started us with a delicious toasted italian bread. Our appetizer was a grilled octopus tentacle with a cilantro, vinegar and oil dressing that was delicious, innovative. Even my wife liked it and she usually doesn't like octopus. Then we had lobster and shrimp. My wife had soup and I had had it in fra-diablo sauce. It was exquisite. Our beverage was a bottle of Robert Mondavi, White Zinfandel, nicely cold on ice. We then finished with a cordial of Frangélico and a pistachio flan. Wow! Just a great experience, and all while listening to some smooth jazz in the background. My compliments to the chef's great cooking and the staff for the great experience and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend Grandma Restaurant in Aguada,...
