Disappointed – Not Worth the Hype
The buns were subpar. When it comes to smash burgers, the standard is usually brioche or potato bread, both provide a rich, soft contrast to the crispy meat. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.
The meat was overseasoned and overly salty. With smash burgers, seasoning needs to be handled carefully; too much and it overwhelms the flavor, making the entire burger taste off. That’s exactly what happened.
The bun selection also failed to support the burger. A good burger bun should be able to hold the juices and sauces while also complementing the flavors of the meat and condiments. This one just didn’t cut it.
