False Advertising and an Overpriced, Subpar Experience
First and foremost, as someone who works in advertising, I want to be very clear: this hotel is guilty of false advertising. The website markets the property as a luxury hotel with garden and beach view villas, but the reality is far from it.
This is not a hotel experience—it functions more like a mix of corporate housing and a poorly managed Airbnb. There is no room service, no daily housekeeping, and the rooms are situated between full-time residents, making it feel more like a condo complex than a resort.
Cleanliness and maintenance are also an issue. Like other reviews have noted, many rooms are unclean or in desperate need of an update, which I unfortunately found to be true. But the most concerning aspect is the price—charging over $400 per night for this experience is unjustifiable when you could book a well-designed and properly serviced Airbnb for the same price or less.
Check-in and Service: Disorganized and Unaccommodating • Upon arrival, no one offered to help with luggage. • I was told my room would be ready by 4 PM and that they would call me if it became available earlier. No call ever came, even though I later saw the room had been ready for over an hour. • When I requested to switch rooms due to noise issues, I was told they were at capacity—meaning no alternative was offered, nor was a refund an option if I wanted to leave.
Amenities: Not What You Expect • No daily housekeeping—a basic expectation for any hotel charging this much per night. • The restaurant does not prioritize hotel guests over walk-ins, meaning you need a reservation every day just to eat there—a red flag for any hotel that claims to be a full-service resort. • The beachfront seating is laughable: two chairs and five cabanas for a hotel that accommodates hundreds of guests. • The pool code changes daily, but they don’t inform guests of the new code—you have to physically check in with the front desk each day just to access an amenity you’re already paying for. • Paper-thin walls and floors—I can hear the family above me with children running and playing loudly. When I reported the issue, guest services said they would “check on it,” but I highly doubt they were going to tell long-term residents to keep it down for hotel guests.
Overall Verdict
This property misrepresents itself as a hotel when it is closer to a poorly-run vacation rental with inflated prices. It lacks the service, amenities, and accommodations that justify the cost, and the guest experience is an afterthought. If you’re looking for a true resort or hotel stay, look elsewhere—this is nothing more than a money grab.
I’m still staying here, and I welcome the hotel to respond and address these concerns—though based on my experience so far, I don’t have high...

The location is about 2 hours from SJU so it makes the most sense to rent a car if you're flying into that airport. It's much closer to BQN. The drive wasn't bad though.
The resort is pretty, and right on the beach, which has pretty strong waves so be careful if you're traveling with kids. Unfortunately there were only like 4 or 5 day beds and a couple beach chairs out there. Definitely not enough for a resort of that size. They were always taken and we never got a chance to use them while we were there.
There were bikes you could borrow to go around the property. Two swimming pools and a tennis court. There's also a restaurant, which is pricey but has delicious food. I strongly suggest making a reservation for dinner.
The room was nice and a/c was on for us when we arrived. They have Rituals products in the bathroom and beach towels as well as regular bath towels. The bed was very soft but I liked it. They don't do housekeeping unless you call for it before 12pm so keep that in mind.
The problem we had was that the adjoining room was connected by a door that must've been made of construction paper. We could hear everything the guests in that room were saying like they were in the room with us and they liked to leave the t.v on through the night which kept my husband up all night. One of the women there also had a super screechy voice which didn't help. We also didn't have hot water the first time we tried to shower both days. I let it run for about 10 mins to be sure because I don't like calling the front desk. We ended up having to call both times and they sent someone over who got it running.
They didn't really have music playing anywhere which is different for Puerto Rico. Its more of a Zen vibe.
For $300+ a night I feel like they could have more beach seating, better sound proofing and a more reliable hot...
Read moreThe property was gorgeous and pretty well maintained, but honestly I’d suggest only staying here if you’re going pay HUGE bucks to rent one of the residential villas that have kitchens and living rooms and all that or if you’re having a wedding here— they’re the only ones that have any sort of ocean view and it seemed the resort only cares to make those look like the photos online. If you’re just going to get one of the single bedroom rooms, DONT spend the money, it is so not worth it. There’s hardly any decor in the room, it’s teeeeny, there’s a tiny mini fridge that they didn’t even put water in, and it just wasn’t nice like you’d expect for the money you spend (upwards 350 a night….). The bedding was nice and at least the room wasn’t dirty or anything, but I wasn’t impressed by anything, which we should have been, given how much it cost to stay here! There are hardly any amenities aside from the pool, a couple bikes you can only ride around in the paved parts of the property, tennis courts that aren’t even well kept, and then I think they might let you use snorkel gear. If you’re a big beach goer and like to go in the water, the currents here are really strong and there isn’t really sand in the water, it’s rocks and sea urchins, so it’s not even worth doing the whole “beachside resort” if you can hardly swim in the water. We ended up going down the road to Jobos beach which had a great area to swim in the water. The restaurant is really pretty and right in the water so great ambiance, but the service at dinner was so slow (waited ten mins just to be greeted and another 5/10 just to get water). The food was okay and REALLY not worth the big price tag, and drinks are also really expensive. Save your money and go to any of the local restaurants, so much better. Or just save your money and don’t stay here if you’re someone who expects a lot when you pay a lot and fall for the resort’s...
