I recently visited Cocoloba Beach Bar, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a laid-back meal and refreshing drinks, just steps away from the beautiful Crash Boat Beach. The convenience of Cocoloba's location cannot be overstated. After a day at the beach, having a cozy place nearby to grab food and drinks is a huge plus. The covered patio with bar seating adds to the charm, offering a comfortable spot to unwind and enjoy the tropical vibe. The drinks at Cocoloba were fantastic, with generous pours that set the tone for a great time. You only need one to start feeling lively and relaxed--just what you need after some sun and surf. For my meal, I chose the Mahi Mahi Mofongos with fish broth. The taste was excellent, full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. However, the wait time was a bit long--over 30 minutes--and unfortunately, my food arrived cold. Despite this, the server's sweet and attentive nature made up for it, and I decided not to make a fuss. One of the highlights of dining at Cocoloba is the proximity to the beach. After finishing your meal, you can take a few steps and be greeted by an incredible view of the sunset. It's the perfect way to end the day, with stunning visuals complementing the relaxed atmosphere of the beach bar. Cocoloba Beach Bar is a convenient and delightful spot for anyone looking to enjoy good food and drinks near Crash Boat Beach. Despite the minor hiccup with the wait time, the overall experience was positive, thanks to the friendly service and the unbeatable location. I would definitely return for another round of their amazing drinks and the beautiful sunset views.

Great food, horrible service and atmosphere. The food gets 5 stars, the service gets two only because the other people were friendly, and the atmosphere gets a 1 star because they were blaring house music. It was just in the background but it was very loud. How do you put loud obnoxious house music in a beach bar?!?! The young girl server was missing in action today (8/7/23). I had to ask the security guard to get a server and the food took nearly 45 minutes to arrive. It was cold when we got it. I’m glad that I asked someone else for it or else it would’ve probably sat there much longer. They also say that they’re closing at 7 pm on google maps on a Monday yet they started turning people away at 5. I even saw a table get up and walk out after sitting there for about ten minutes not even getting acknowledged. Terrible management and it’s a shame because the food was very good! Mostly local options on the menu.

This was by far the best dinner I’ve had in my opinion. I had the Shrimp MOFONGO and it was absolutely delicious!!! It is a must try if you ever visit this place. Also the Mojito de Parcha was sooo good. They had live music and all the staff was very respectful and helpful. Thank you all for such an amazing experience, especially our waiter Richard. We will be back every time we visit PR. Thank you thank you!

We went here as a party of 7 after being at the beach. When we walked in the lady advised that they were "busy" but she could sit us at a table over there (pointed to a nice table under some trees but not in the vicinity of the other tables) and we agreed while saying to her "as long as you do not forget about us". Well Sad to say the service rendered was just that. It took FORVER to get the waiter to approach with water and another eternity to get the food served which was cold. When asked the waiter advised that the kitchen was short staffed and that was the reason. NOT ACCEPTABLE. If they were short staffed they could have turned us away or advised that it was up to us to wait since the kitchen was short staffed. Long story short, once the floor manager came, he advised that there were no excused yet that was served hot and ready. I mean I could have eaten them excuses rather than the cold food any day. They tried to offer us some "free" alcoholic beverages, which we all turned down. After he got another manager who also fed us some excuses after telling us there were no excuses (that should be an appetizer on their menu) yet they offered to cut our bill 50% but when the time came they could not individually deliver the offer. I mean LORDT I have never been so disappointed in the service that I received that day. I never write reviews but this deserved one. There is never an excuse for bad costumer service EVER. Had they explained the issue first hand, kept us informed than things would have turned out better. We literally spend 3 hours plus through the whole experience causing our other plans to be disruptive all over an event of salsa dancing. I also want to point out that the people there were NOT consuming food, but drinks so HOW our food was cold and HOW the short staff affected our wait time is beyond me. It must have been that the manager was also a lil busy entertaining his friends, as we actively saw him sitting at a table enjoying himself even after talking to us and knowing how dissatisfied we were. To the owner, I would consider cleaning house, your staff if costing you money and the way you run it is not it. Hope other read the reviews and take them in to consideration, Lord knows we did not see them...

If you’re looking for a great place to waste your money, time, energy and patience come on over. Not only will they take 45 minutes to bring you water but another hour before your appetizers will arrive. The food, when it did finally arrive, was cold (though the plate was hot) and the Churrasco was hard and overcooked. According to the other people in my table every plate of food arrived the same way. The atmosphere was not pleasant as we were sat at the way in the back (which isn’t inherently a problem) but then we were forgotten about. No one came to our table to start us off or anything along those those. Best part, was the cats in the area that did not belong to them. Server was not attentive, and didn’t give us any updates on any of our orders even though we waiting more than an hour for just the water. The manager eventually showed up nearing the end to try to salvage the experience though he was unable to giving many excuses. The only saving grace was that he was willing to give us a 50% off our bill (the least that could be done at that point) after all we just wanted to leave. The manager was then unable to split the check for a party of 7 and apply the discount as it was “too complicated a calculation”.

Overall, great place to waste…...
