I’m going to be brutally honest as this was a new place my family and I wanted to try. I go based upon reviews and here is mine. Why this place has decent reviews really blows my mind! Myself, my husband and 18 month old arrived at about 6pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant is on the smaller side for dining in but it was decent and tables were clean. Anyways IT WAS DEAD….one other couple dining in. However they were getting a few phone orders but really nothing crazy. Our waitress was nice and she was the only working besides cooks in the back. Which I can totally understand slow service but like I said it was DEAD. My husband had to walk our cups up to the front to get refills as he waited for her to come out from the back. We ordered the Thai tea which I would not recommend…it was OVERLY SWEET. We have had Thai tea from multiple places and this by far was the worse. We ordered a kani salad, papaya salad, crab cheese wontons, sushi roll (Asian cravings roll to be exact), pho, chicken and shrimp hibachi and a side order of sticky rice. Everything came out super quick….however… Kani salad - not a typical kani salad the cucumbers were so thick and not thinly sliced and honestly the crab tasted off to me. It was a little on the fishy side. Papaya salad - just awful, the papaya was not thinly cut at all and the flavor was not good. Crab cheese wontons - DELICIOUS, I will say that! Asian cravings sushi roll - Pretty good but I’ve had better sushi with similar ingredients. Pho - Now this is what got me…the waitress said they have the best pho! WHAT?!!! That is an immediate no for me. The meat in the pho was literally SO QUESTIONABLE. It was fatty and had gristles, it was grey, it was not cut in thin pieces like a normal pho. I literally scooped out every piece and left it on my discard plate. The flavor was decent but that’s about it. Hibachi - Was cooked pretty good and tasted okay but extremely salty! Sticky rice - Couldn’t tell you because we never got it! Literally heard the waitress yelling at the cooks about it. $70 down the drain and we will NEVER be back….I can name a million better restaurants. If you want to try something similar I would recommend…. Lemongrass Pacific East Toko Taste of Bangkok All of these restaurants are...
Read moreSo this is the second time ordering from this place, the first time was with my youngest we walked in and ordered. When you first walk in it’s very welcoming and the staff are extremely polite, I personally would make it bigger or figure out a different setup for takeout only because your standing in the middle of the restaurant as people are eating waiting for your food. ( I understand this is a new place so there going to be busy) we were greeted right away and taken care of both times. First I will tell you the food is well worth the money ( you get what you pay for) all fresh not that brain dog you feel when ordering from other places. The only problem my family has with this place is the wait. We decided to give this place a second try because we were craving the food, we ordered at 626 pm and waited over an hour for our food. I was told it would be 30 min so I drove up there in 30 min and waited even longer! Yes it was upsetting yes there new and only have one waitress and I believe the owner helping but I think the whole takeout system needs to be different it’s very upsetting to have to stand inside and wait for your food while everyone is staring and eating there food. Especially when your told 30 min and it wasn’t the first time this happened as well. I’m not sure if we will be back at this time, but if you are going to do takeout make sure to order a couple hours in advance. The food is...
Read moreMajor praise and highly recommend by many local Facebook groups stating this is the BEST Asian food in town. We threw away $80 worth of food! The food was expensive and just overall bad. If I’m being 100% honest the Crab Rangoon was the best and cheapest thing we tried. We ordered and tried the Drunken Stir Fry, Hibachi Burrito, Chicken Satay, and Sesame Chicken and every last bit was throw away. The Sesame Chicken had a super strong fish flavor that I couldn’t get past after 2 bites. Chicken Satay was cold and rubbery. Hibachi Burrito was bland and boring, really lacking flavor. Drunkin Stir Fry has a some type of flavor/spice that overpowered everything in the dish. I can’t even tell you what anything else in it tasted like. My white rice was complete mush with burned brown bits from the bottom of the rice cooker/pan, literally disgusting. Didn’t even attempt trying the fried rice after the white.
I truly can’t believe how popular this establishment is. I really feel we gave it a fair shot with our menu choices, probably should have started slow and not spent almost $100 the first time around. Maybe we’re just not ordering the “good stuff”. In all fairness, there are people that love this place, we are just not it. Customer service was however over the top and by far some of the best,...
