Dilly's Drive-In — Restaurant in Akron

The last 2 Sundays I've drove over an hour to visit family and stopped in because one I use to work here years ago when the rubber bowl was still intact. This place was booming always packed, I've always loved the food because it was better than Swenson's, now they have a girl running the curb service that's small , looks about 13 and is very rude and nasty, she never smiles, or greets you, she brings your food out assuming you want it to go just to get her money and hopefully a tip... This last time I had it with the attitude and spoke with the owner, whom I feel bad for because he seems to be a good guy with horrible help, and the food has the potential of being great if cooked and served with care!! With that being said I will be in Akron to visit family and will drive by if I see that the girl who is dragging this business down is still employed here I will continue driving knowing that the owner is closing his business down soon, because with employees who don't care if it closes, neither do the customers. I do hope he turns it around, because of the now hiring, just don't hire kids,...

Normally when I visit, I've never experience a problem and the food at Dilly's is good. This time, the server did not give me the milkshake that I ordered and charged me for it and when I asked about the milkshake, they said they would bring it out with my card. Instead, another server came back with my processed card and still no milkshake and walked away just as I was about to ask for it again - they had no other customers so very unsatisfied with my service.

Update 12/13/22: As much as I'd love to give improved feedback, I was unfortunately met with another disappointing visit with an incorrect order. I placed an order for their Dilly Dog, Fries, and Onion Rings and I somehow ended up with a burger and charged for the Dilly Dog with costs more and it's unclear if my order was confused for another or they just didn't hear me say Dilly 'Dog'. I've visited their Stow location and had no issues each time but increasing issues with the Akron location. I may have to take the extra drive to Stow for Dilly's...

I live right up the road, and normally don’t have any issues but I called an they immediately put me on hold, which is fine I just figured they were super busy. So 10 minutes after bing on hold I told my husband I will just go there and order. So I get there and the parking lot was empty. Not 1 customer at all. I could see the girl through the window looking at my while she sat talking on her phone. She finally comes out to take my order and when she brings me my food I asked her for a side of ranch dressing for the chicken bites an the mushrooms that I purchased. She said I have to charge you for them, the boss will get mad. I said even when I just bought chicken bites, mushrooms and sweet potato fries, I could see if I didn’t buy something that you would normally use some sort of sauce for but I bought 3 different items.
