We have been eating at Fred's since the late 90's. We loved going in to eat the most delicious food and visiting with Fran, Ruth, and Theresa. We watched Jenna grow up and start a family of her own. Three years ago, we moved out of state after spending 20 years in Akron/Tallmadge. We continually talk about how much we miss Fred's. In Maine, they think bacon is 2 slices!? Delighted to say we made a quick trip home this weekend and got to go to the ever busy Fred's for breakfast. While we didn't recognize the all new, young faces, we did watch them hustle and run like a well-oiled machine. And, man did they deliver. Our breakfast was as good as it always has been and we savored every bite! Fred's Diner... you are hands down the best! Always have been. Always will be. See you next time. And, thank you!

I was looking for breakfast after a local race and this was just the ticket. The back of their shirts states "Eat, Pay, Get Out". They are not messing around here. And for good reason, the parking lot is full with a constant flow of customers, many you could tell were regulars. All the servers were fun and happy. The food is outstanding and out before I could finish my first cup of coffee. The portions were just right with just a few leftovers for the lighter eater. I had the corned beef hash and my wife had french toast, so much french toast. The building is deceptively big with more room in the back so do not be discouraged when the lot is full of cars. This is a must for a great breakfast, quick, delicious, and on your way. We will be back.

Want a good down-home breakfast? This is the place. The food was excellent; eggs over easy, corned beef, hash brown potatoes, sourdough bread, a large, really large, pancake, and cranberry juice. The potatoes lacked seasoning and needed to cook a bit more but that's minor. I had heard how good the food was and finally took the opportunity to experience it. It was well worth every bite. The space is small so get there early. The personnel was warm and welcoming and the prices reasonable. The portions are huge which makes a meal a "good bang" for a buck. Put this one on your bucket list. The photo shows a half portion. An order is twice the amt. Bravo Fred's. I apologize the photos aren't better.

What a pleasure to eat at Fred's Diner and discover everything is the same, although it's been years since I'd been there. The small space is crowded, but that just shows you how good the food is. :) I've included photos of the menu. It was hard to decide, but I chose a 3 egg omelette with cheese and bacon with a side of homefries and wheat toast. My dining companion had chicken and dumplings. We both dug in before I thought 'oh no! I forgot to take a picture!'. Yes, I'm that person, but only to back up the reviews I leave. Fred's Diner is a welcome alternative to the chain restaurants, and boy does that kitchen staff put out the food quickly! A lot of hustle there. Well done guys!

Sooooo I just woke up from my 12 hr shift and My Person was nice enough to go grab the food b4 I went to sleep. The phone connection wasn’t good when called but the lady I spoke to still remembered my info and I was able to complete my order when I called back . My Person didn’t have the best experience with the atmosphere. Wasn’t a lot of diversity. This has been around since 1989 and I’ve been out of concern that “Me” wouldn’t be embraced. So the verdicts still out on that but the food was delicious. Very tasty and portion size the Gold Star for me😌🤤. Probably just do pick ups. I
