Hanini Subs — Restaurant in Akron

I have no clue how this establishment continues to do business. The entire place place was filthy and each member of the staff was incredibly rude (one was talking on his cell phone for the entirety of my time in the restaurant, while helping customers). The ordering system is confusing; when one of the staff members is ready to take your order, they just begin yelling "What do you want?" If the service wasn't enough to make you leave the quality of food is atrocious. I ordered a grilled chicken salad for my mother. The first thing the employee did was pull out a sealed bag of pre cooked grilled chicken, dump a bunch into about 7 deli sheets and then threw it into the microwave! He tossed the bag of chicken to the side (at room temperature) when he was finished. The condiments for your salads or sandwiches were a slew of prepacked items from pickles to mushrooms from a can. Needless to say I won't be back. There are plenty of other restaurants who actually make their own food and treat customers...

I been coming here a couple times a year. The gyros are to die for. They are amazing. Large portions. I have to say I love this specifc location the brothers running the store are amazing. They are very polite. They have that welcoming vibe and work hard. This place is always busy. It's always got goof service. All the food is priced reasonably and large portions. They have always been super nice and get orders done in a fast and in a timely manner. Big kudos to this place they truley keep up with they customers, show they appreciation and have great food. Past few times I been trying other stuff instead just gyros. The Italian sub was amazing good portion. I got a Ruben tonight it was amazing large portion and was perfectly made. The appetizers are good. They put they heart and soul into it. Even when they are busy they get everything done and make the customers and the enviorment fun and comfortable. It's a place you definitely will want to...

OK - not sure what has happened in the last several years - but WOW...

First - their level of respect and gratitude for the customer was NEVER all that good - since remodel - saying it is WORSE, is an understatement (poor lady before me).

Second - Gyro - STILL highly recommended - it alone would net high marks - if only you could order it and pick up from a ROBOT - not their version of a dick's last resort server...

Third - ANEMIC sandwiches... Perhaps Akron has little to compare too -but LOOK at the picture... Subway overloads their subs more... Add to this the look and response when I had the NERVE to ask for RYE bread - something they do NOT have...

Overall - won't return - their gyro is good - but nothing that special to offset their disdain for their own customers...

My apologizes for supporting you in the past - I assure you I won't make that...
