This is a family owned restaurant. A real mom & pop joint. An older man that looks like he has wisdom in his knuckles & the presence of "Uncle Iroh" love runs the place. His food is always on point. A younger woman with a few lil kiddos runs the place when he is away. Her food is tasty but less of a perfected art. The woman is using the business teaching her kids valuable skills by allowing them to assist @ the register. I actually enjoyed watching her show her lil girl how to properly count change & the excitement of a job well done for the kid. Learning math & customer service right before my eyes. Other times the kids are doing hw or playing a game. This isnt a dine in place. I usually get a shrimp & chicken w/rice. Portion sizes are nice. I usually have left overs or share with my toddler. I ordered two orders of crab Rangoon let me say they were not good. I also ordered three types of meat and noodles and I literally got a whole onion and two or three pieces of vegetables. The meat portion size was ridiculously small and was all chicken with 6 tiny bite size pieces of steak and the shrimp tasted nasty. For $52 I expected decent food not soaked in oil dripping thru the carryout. But it was my fault because I didn’t look closely when ordering from DoorDash and chose the wrong Wasabi. Let me tell you this is NOT like the Canton Rd one. Canton rd is amazing and has way better portion sizes and you can tell they actual put their whole heart and soul into their food. I used to order from here pretty regularly when this restaurant first opened. I love this type of food but, don't eat it as often. The last time I ate from here was about a year ago and the food was good. I came here tonight expecting the same quality. Boy, was I disappointed! The rice was precooked, the steak is very low quality and not what they used to serve. The food certainly did not taste the same. There used to be pride in what they made. The service was just ok and what you would expect. I will NEVER come back! I would rather spend the extra money and go to a real sit-down hibachi restaurant.
