Neon Nachos & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Akron

My wife and I were Door Dashing late into the night, when one of our pick up orders brought us to Neon Nachos & Ice Cream. The first thing I notice when walking into Neon Nachos was the amazing out of this world decor which was spaced theme with neon lights, alien statues that you could take pictures with, a lounge area for you to seat and enjoy your nachos and ice cream. So there are two ways you can order from Neon Nachos, you can either use a food delivery service or you can use the touch pad kiosk to place your order. For every $1 you spend you earn one point that you can add towards future purchases. My wife order desert nachos that she topped with ice cream and all her favorite toppings like sprinkles and cherries. I ordered the Lunar Lick Ice Cream Sandwich, I chose peanut butter cookies as the base of my ice cream sandwich, then I chose Rush Hour Ice Cream which is coffee ice cream flavored with Java chips and caramel, and lastly I topped my ice sandwich with Reese's cups, sprinkles, chocolate chips, and other delicious toppings. Both of our deserts were very sweet and delicious, it was so yummy in our tummies. I really wanted to like this place but it didn’t work out for us when we ordered it through UberEats at 10:30pm on a Saturday. They didn’t make us what we actually ordered. First, the desserts are not accurately pictured on the app. As for the order, one dessert should’ve had two chocolate chip cookies and we were given two sugar cookies. The other should’ve been sugar and chocolate chip but I got sugar and peanut butter. What if I had a peanut allergy? Either way, we hardly eaten the food . My chicken quesadilla (I think?) tasted and looked like beef, and I specifically wrote “add mozzarella, sour cream on the side” (both of which I paid for) and they gave me cold, shredded cheese in two soufflé containers with no sour cream. The instructions were clear, I don’t know how they went wrong… Disappointed and have reached out (thru uber) to get a refund because they seriously screwed this order up. Again, the physical place looks cool and the reviews on google were good so we had high hopes, but it felt like a waste of money. Not sure...

Atmosphere is phenomenal besides a few eye sores such as I could see the mop bucket from the entrance and old deflated balloons still stuck to the walls a step ladder in the corner as soon as you walk in… BUT WE ARE HERE FOR THE FOOD NOT AMBIANCE RIGHT! Okay… soo my food was HORRIBLE 😞… I wanted to love it so bad for it being a small black owned business in my hometown… everything I look for but regardless… the quesadilla was nothing but a soft taco fold it over and not even a burrito size taco shell a normal size taco shell and the chicken was nothing but chicken tenders cut up into small pieces. Food was cold. Including the beef on the nachos and tacos The tacos were supposed to be slightly crispy. They were cold soft tacos, I got nachos with the guacamole that was supposed to be on the side. The guacamole was all over the nachos.
