Went to Bill-Es with the spouse a few weeks ago and we ordered the pork platter. The pork was so dry that it was unedible. After telling the manager on duty she apologized profusely and gave us a meal on her for the next visit. Few days later we go back, we ordered the wagyu burger and shrimp po boy; burger was burnt to a crisp and po boy had so much seasoning on it that it was like eating self defense mace. spoke to the manger and explained how we recieved a meal on the business because of the first slip up and how we are here and it's a complete disaster again. So the manager on duty once again gives us a meal on them and explains they'll talk to the kitchen. Yesterday, we go again to give them a third try and utilize the meal on them. we order the wagyu burger once again with a different entree and two kids meals for the kids. Well the wagyu burger wasn't burnt to a crisp thank god, however, it tasted like straight up charcoal. my meal had missing cheese sauce on fries that i ordered and one the kids meals was completely the wrong one. spoke to manager on duty, explained everything typed above to them and how this was our third time giving them another chance and it's been a complete mess the whole time, manager says she will speak to general manager. after speaking to gm she tells us that they will be covering everything, keep in mind we already had it covered by the second visit, so what did they actually do to fix three complete disasterous visits? nothing at all.... complete joke of customer service and product. As a GM of another restaurant in the Area, this is not how i would of handled this situation at all. please be aware and don't waster your time or money cause you'll leave disappointed and hungry as well as they'll do absolutely nothing to fix the issue and make you a returning customer.

The only thing they got right is the bacon. best bacon i've ever had anywhere.

Also, several of their employees have told me personally that there is nobody in that kitchen with safeserv certifications. i can also attest to that being accurate and true because years ago i actually interviewed with this establishment and they had to use my certifications during the interview as state was in the building because they didn't have anybody who had one or else they would of been shut down and fined.

I'm writing this not to be petty or juvenile but rather because i'm sick and tired of these terrible restaurants in this area who just don't care to do the right thing and who could care less to make sure their customers food is cooked properly and are 100% accurate before being brought to the table:

if you go to eat...

What an amazing place! This gem on the outskirts of Fairhope, AL was a perfect stop for my wife and I on our moto trip exploring "sweet home" Alabama last weekend. My wife found this place online and told me about the small batch bacon, and I was sold! Haha

The location is about a mile East of Fairhope, a very cute and clean little town of Mobile Bay. The property is covered with many old oak trees. You can enter it from the main road, which can be a little busy, or from a side residential street. There are a few buildings that are tied together with a spread-wide steel roof or some areas of open air for sunshine. There is a banquet area for about 50 people on the North side, an open games and dining area in the middle, and an indoor dining area on the South side, finally an indoor bar area on the back. Games include pingpong and bag toss, plus probably some others. The open air area is partially roofed and partially open sky, which gives great variety based on the weather.

The food was amazing. This is a great place to go for burgers, bacon, and Southern fare. The bacon is the true attraction; it is made in house and the curing building is right behind the small stage. We were told that the curing building had a few thousand pounds in it when we were there.

Our order included a bacon sampler, BLT wrap, Texas burger, and cup of bean-less chili. Everything was delicious!! My wife liked Bill E's chili better than my own Coney Island Chili Sauce, but even the people you love most can be wrong every once in a while. Haha

The service was excellent and intuitive. When I just started thinking of an additional napkin for my juicy burger, suddenly a small stack was dropped off. And as I was finishing my beer, another one was just being delivered. She was truly a mind reader and such a delight! Nate stopped by to chat a few times and provided us with much useless trivia, to our delight. He also helped us with suggestions for our trip.

After riding several hundred miles that day, we were pretty exhausted, and really full of great food; else we would have loved to hang out at with what looked like the neighborhood patrons who were having a great time.

The price was very reasonable, bordering on inexpensive. I will be recommending Bill E's to any of my friends who will be in the area. They also do mail-order bacon. I think some of my gourmet relatives are getting the gift of pork this year...

Second time was not the charm - Not a fan.

Recently dined to take advantage of an online offer for discounted meals with Bill-E’s and had terrible service with our server, Sandy. We walked in around 4:30-4:45PM on a then slow Saturday afternoon. We were seated at a picnic table in the outdoor area and waited for our drink order to be taken. After waiting, the hostess came over and said she would take the drink order because the server was not available at the moment. A little bit later, our drinks arrived and we we’re still waiting to place our food order. Our server finally came over and seemed scatterbrained when our group asked questions about a menu item, which caused confusion for one person placing their order. An appetizer was also ordered, and at least 20-25 minutes passed before we had to flag down our server to remind her about it. Earlier, she offered to re-fill another person’s drink, but never brought it out. No drinks were ever re-filled at our table. Glasses were all empty. Other tables around us, seated after us, were completely finished with their meals before we even received our appetizer.

Food wise, everyone ordered burgers. Only 2 out of 5 burgers were cooked to the right temperature. The medium temperature was undercooked and chunks had to be picked out to avoid eating the more raw parts. A well-done burger was cooked at a barely medium-well. And a medium-well was cooked at well-done. The last burger was brought out late because the server forgot about it, and still wasn’t really great. The burgers seem to be frozen patties and not freshly made. Our server never asked if our burgers were cooked to our liking.

It also took the server 3 attempts to correctly total up two tickets - that she initially wrote the orders down.

I guess when you come in with a coupon that’s offered by the establishment, you truly get what you (don’t) pay for. Definitely felt like a burden to be in her section. Beware if you bring a coupon.

The burgers were sub-par and the service even worse. The picnic table we sat at was too oddly sized to comfortably dine, especially when you’re seated even longer than you have to be. As we were leaving, the live music was beginning and was entirely too loud in the dining area. But if you like yelling to talk with others at your table, cool.

So many other better options locally. Will never come...
