We went down there yesterday to pick up our $60 Fourth of July special on the post it says that it feeds four to six people there's not even enough pieces of meat to feed 4 to six people if each person was to get one piece of meat per person you get three wings three pieces of ribs one sausage which is cut in half then they give you another half of a sausage and a couple of slices of briskets which was 4 little pieces a cup of pulled pork I don't mind paying $60 for the meal the thing is the advertisement, it only feeds 3 people not 4 to 6 should have added at least 2 to 3 more pieces of meat probably 2 leg quarters instead of 3 wings and a little more pulled pork I would have paid $65 for that oh and another thing that lady that was taking orders at the window has a really smart, sarcastic mouth her attitude and energy is not it we asked her about the burgers and she said oh they're good but you won't be getting that today all she had to say is those burgers are really good and then if we had asked about could we put an order in she could have politely said I'm sorry but we're only doing orders for the...
Read moreI wanna start off by saying we were really excited to try this place based off the reviews. The guy working the front was super nice and the place was very cute. Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. We ordered the sampler, with Mac n cheese and green beans.after waiting a few we were told there was no Mac, nbd, just ordered baked beans instead. After waiting about 30 minutes, we got our order and went home. Upon opening we were thrown off, there were no wings and no cornbread. I called the guy and someone fumbled and didn’t communicate they were out of wings and cornbread. Sucked… because that was mostly what we went there for. I wouldn’t have ordered this sampler if I had known this. but we were still excited to try what we had. I don’t know if this was just an off day, but our ribs were cold, our pork was cold. Chicken was dry. I just felt jipped out of 32$. The green beans were banging though. And even though cold, the pulled pork was juicy and delicious. I think I’ll give them another try maybe earlier in the day id really like to try the Mac...
Read morePirates Pit BBQ has completely redefined what BBQ means to me.
We're from Massachusetts, and after eating here, I can honestly say — BBQ might be ruined for us forever. That’s how good this place is. We stumbled across Pirates Pit during a trip to Alabama, and now we’re seriously considering booking another flight just to come back.
The chicken was unreal — perfectly juicy, with crispy, flavorful skin that was cooked to absolute perfection. The seasoning nailed it: the right balance of sweet and savory, where every bite made you want to go back for more. It was clear a lot of care went into the food — this wasn’t just good BBQ, it was on a completely different level.
If you're anywhere near Fairhope, drop everything and go. If you’re not — it's absolutely worth getting on a plane for.
Pirates Pit BBQ isn’t just another BBQ spot — it’s the kind of meal that sticks with you long after you leave.
Five stars...
