After an underwhelming experience at the Vestavia Hills location, I decided to redeem my survey code at the Alabaster location. The results from this visit were similar, but worse. At 11:47am, I ordered Big Hot Ham and Cheese combo w/BOGO sandwich from a survey code. I showed them pics of a scrawny sandwich from the Vestavia location. They said it would not be that small, but would not look like the picture on the marquee. Received food and checked sandwiches. One was a little light on meat, but the other looked very scrawny. It was remade better, but still not a "big" sandwich I asked for fries because mine was cold. While waiting on the fries, I watched the lady bag fries for the drive thru and other customers. Another lady walked up to the counter entrance and she gave her a long hug while holding a bag of someone else's food near their heads. She also checked her phone. Did not wash or sanitize her hands. I asked about my fries and she just shrugged her shoulders. I went up to the counter and another lady asked if she could help me. I asked for the manager. The other lady pointed at someone in the back preparing food. The lady from the front counter then responded to her saying she stole her fries. A couple of minutes later, she scooped fries and handed me the bag. No apology for the delay. I left. 28 minutes for a carry-out order. I drove out of my way to visit this location. As with my other review, I am posting a picture of the sandwich I received and what was advertised on the menu and web site. This sandwich barely had 1/4" of meat, but the BOGO second sandwich had about twice as much and looked closer to the stock photo. I realize the food they prepare locally will not look as pristine as the stock photo, but if a restaurant advertises a sandwich with "BIG" in the name, the least they could do is ensure it looks big when the...
Read moreOn 9/19/19, my family visited your Alabaster location drive thru. We ordered 2 bacon thickburger sandwiches and a 2 PC tender kids meal. We had to wait about 8-10 minutes for the order. When it arrived, there was only one sandwich and the kids meal. I went inside to let them know we wanted two sandwiches, we were charged correctly (one sandwich), but we wanted 2 sandwiches. I must have had a look of disdain on my face, because someone, I believe a manager (didn't get her name, wish I had, but something tells me she wouldn't want the recognition), approached me and asked if everything was ok. I told her what happened and that we were only charged for one sandwich and I was willing to pay for the second one. She wouldn't let me pay for it and apologized for our wait. Fantastic job at making lemonade. I am a manager for Express Oil Change and we hold ourselves to a pretty high standard in the customer service industry, and this WOWED me, and my wife. We will continue to patronize your establishment, as well as highly recommend it. I know not many positive situations make it on to reviews, but this one will and thank you for making what could have been a bushel of sour lemons into a sweet glass of summertime refreshment!!!🙂
p.s.-The original transaction was around 4:45 pm, and we went back already at 8:30 to get my daughter a meal....
Read moreI ordered onion rings. The cashier asked me what size I wanted. Not seeing that there was a choice of sizes, I thought maybe this was a promotional thing so I ordered a large. Then the cashier proceeds to tell me that they don't sell onion rings, only to come back after a moment and then tell me that they just had one size. I was handed the wrong order, and then told that I needed to wait a few more minutes for my correct order. None of the employees there acted like they wanted to be there. They acted like the customers were an inconvenience. I might give it a try during a different shift, but I really don't think this restaurant is going to last too long...
Update 10/10/20 Gave them another chance today. Wish I wouldn't have. They were out of a menu item I wanted. The lid to the gravy wasn't sealed correctly and ended up leaking. Not just in the bag, but onto my car seat. The employee at the drive-thru was wearing an "I can't breathe" mask.
Not eating at another Hardee's again, as their employees can't keep their politics out of my food. And, yes; the same complaints are made on the survey listed on the back of the receipt.
Update 3/11/2023 Stopped there at the request of a co-worker. They were out of an advertised product yet again. Nothing has changed at...
