We visited Bamboo Garden Restaurant during lunchtime, expecting a quick and pleasant dining experience. While the restaurant wasn’t crowded, the service felt a bit slow. However, the server was friendly and attentive, doing her best to meet all of our needs, which we greatly appreciated. When the food arrived, it was served piping hot, a clear indicator of freshness. Unfortunately, the dishes lacked bold flavors and felt more like simple preparations rather than standout meals. While this might appeal to some diners who enjoy subtle tastes, it didn’t quite resonate with me. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quaint, with plenty of tables to accommodate guests, making it a comfortable space to dine. Although I can see how others might enjoy this spot for its simplicity, it’s not a place I’d choose to return to.

Our first time eating at Bamboo Garden and we were pleasantly surprised. When we arrived at 6:45 on Wednesday evening, we were the only diners in the restaurant. That concerned me a bit but a couple of others came in shortly after we arrived. We ordered Sesame Chicken and Sezchuan Chicken with fried rice. Both were very good and were served quickly. Food quality and quantity were excellent. We would definitely return. However, since we live in Pelham, we'll probably stick with our favorite Asian restaurant - Golden City. Bamboo Garden is a good choice if you live or work in the Alabaster area.

The Singapore Mei Fun is delicious. Spicy rice noodles with shrimp, chicken, and beef. And the Thai Panang Chicken Curry is another favorite. Peanutty and mildly spicy. Also the Beef and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce is great. The sauce is nuanced and spicy. Human Chicken is also delicious, it is a bit different, kind of a spicy fermented bean flavor. I want to try the Egg Foo Young next time.

I just recently moved into the area from Helena AL. The first time I went to this restaurant I had a better experience with a gentleman at the counter. I can only say the food was so so being a Chinese food lover me and my five year old daughter. So I figured we've found our new local Chinese food restaurant. On the second and last trip to this restaurant I ordered two meals and only receive four duck sauces I asked the lady at the counter could I get extra duck sauce she made me pay $2 for 6 extra duck sauce. I'll never eat there again also I ask for no vegetables in my daughter's house fried rice you know how that turned out. I'll Drive back to Helena Lucky China Chinese restaurant...

Family of 4. Went about 8 at night. Had 3 meals because the kids split one. Wanted fried rice instead of white rice with 2 of the meals. With drinks and having to ask for an extra rice because there was a mix up and a small hot a sour soup it was 75 bucks. No where near worth that!. They charge you 5 dollars to change to fried rice. The waitress disappeared through our dinner and we found her at a table eating she was on her phone. So when we went to pay shocked by the amount we could not afford to tip her much. She said that's all you're going to tip?. Very rude. Not worth it. Pick somewhere else,...
