That was a strange experience. We stopped by for an early dinner (Around 4:15). We were sat approximately 4 tables down from the LOUDEST table that I have ever experienced in a restaurant. They were seated approximately 5 ft from the seating host.
This table of ladies proceeded to SCREAM obscenities across the restaurant. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not a prude, but I counted THIRTY SEVEN cuss words in a 15 minute time period. That's over 2 cuss words a minute that I can hear plain as day from 4 tables away.
I would have loved to tell my waitress and request a new seat, but we saw her a total of 7 times. Ordering our drinks, having our drinks delivered / having our order taken, having our food delivered, the ONE time that we were checked on, having our check delivered / to-go boxes delivered, having our check returned to the table, then having our waitress run back to tell me that I had paid the wrong check. My son dropped his fork immediately after he began eating and we had to go to the host stand ourselves to request new silverware because our waitress was nowhere to be found. I ate my entire meal without a drink (even though at least two other serving staff noticed my empty drink - apparently nobody said anything to our waitress).
As of right now, I have 2 separate charges on my bank account. One for my bill, one for the table behind mine. On bringing the first (incorrect) check to the table, I mentioned the LOUD table to the waitress, and she said "Oh, they're fine." Are they? Are they really? SO my nerves are just completely wrecked for no reason?
So I paid (as of right now) almost $60 for 1 adult and 2 kids. Here's to hoping the charge is actually corrected so that it's more correctly the $37 bill only (Still way too high for what we received).
Only saving grace was that the food was not horrific.. it wasn't great. But it definitely wasn't horrible. It was enough that it earned the restaurant a 2nd star.
Please note - My tip on the initial bill was 50%. I didn't blame the waitress for the issues. By the time I realized I was about to be double charged? The waitress received a $2 tip. This is the FIRST time I have ever intentionally tipped that low. I leave a $5 tip on to-go orders! This was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy First Dining Experience. (Lunch) The "Host" was a young man, nice, respectful, seemed a little nervous, I thought this must be his first job. The "Server" also nice, took my drink order quickly, (Unsweet Tea), she promptly delivered me (Sweet Tea) and took my food order. I decided on "Carnitas", one of my favorite Mexican dishes. Upon ordering she asked me to point it out on the menu, immediately, I was nervous about my order. I literally thought no one probably ever orders this here and I was going to receive old food, as Carnitas is not typically cooked to order. She informed me that "Chips and Salsa" were on the way as she left. They arrived and I was encouraged by the freshness and flavor, I love "Salsa" and this was very good. It was at that time that I discovered I was given the wrong Tea. I could hear the Server was busy with other customers when another gentleman delivered my meal, I informed him of the drink issue, he apologized and brought me another. Unfortunately, I would discover it also to be Sweet. Mix up with the Tea in the kitchen, no big deal. Worse would be my fear about the "Carnitas" realized. I could see immediately it appeared dry. I knew I had made a mistake. It was very dry, obviously not fresh, I hate to say, probably the worst I have ever had. Not inedible, but close. Everything else was good, the beans, the rice, the tortillas. I do not complain (typically), nor will I tell you about a previous bad experience if I come back. I will try something else from this restaurant if I have the opportunity as I do not live in Albany, though my job brings me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHavenāt been there in a while, but tried it out today and it was horrible. I ordered the Mi Casa Dip and a strawberry margarita. I started off eating the dip and it was tasty, but once I stuck my fork in it, grease started to come to the top. I told the waitress, who then got the manager. Her response was, āI watched the camera and saw you eating it.ā I said off the top but the grease came from the bottom. No apologies, no discount, just rude. I had heard the service had gotten worst, but I gave them another try and never again. I paid and left the dip and the tart strawberry daiquiriā¦oh and pleased donāt excuse the fly on the chip plate!
Since I canāt respond to her post under, I will respond here!! I admitted that I started eating and it was tasty until I stuck my fork into it and the grease came to the top. If it was so dang good, why would I not eat but a little and leave the rest that I paid forā¦make it make sense. You come back with these half slick, disrespectful post. You can post the video which will show me eating off the top until I dug into the bottom. I didnāt even drink the drink. Like what is 11.99?? I paid and left the grease on the table. Matter of fact I waited on you to come so I could pay, because you thought I had walked out!
At the end of the day a simple sorry or is there anything I could do to make it better would have been better than how you can to the table in defense mode about some...
