Waffle House — Restaurant in Albany

Waffle House is known for their fast made food and decent prices but I’m upset at the ToGo order that occurred 8/8/19 around 10:00pm. I ordered my food over the phone at 9:35pm and arrived at 10 to pick it up. The food was not ready! The waitress was rude on the phone as she was in person! She didn’t have my order prepared until I showed up for it and to me that is unacceptable. I am Understanding that some people don’t show up but this needs to be resolved by an online order system or take my card Info over the phone if money is indeed the issue. I was in a rush, which is why I ordered for pickup, but it doesn’t matter because this Waffle House only starts your order after you pay. I normally don’t have an issue with this Waffle House and my food has been called in and waiting on me when I stepped in the door but tonight, with new staff i had to wait. Do not order to go or be in a rush for this location. Also, there were no other call in orders and only a table of 2 upon my arrival. Meaning my order...

Actions from a District Manager this morning around 630am.

Kivus- your District manager spoke so rude to me this about a complaint I had about not being able to sit and eat in. Everyone has to get their food to go and then we are forced to pay a 'togo' fee on top of the price for our food.

He called me ignorant and stated the way I handled my complaint was ignorant.

If this is how management will deal with customers...im done with Waffle House. I have been loyal to this brand eating several days a week...especially the weekends!!!!

He did this in front of the employees and I refuse to be talked to like that. As a Disabled veteran...this treatment will not be accepted. I definitely will let my fellow veterans know to avoid him and your stores.

Went to this location last Sunday with 8 employees all standing around talking to each other on staff and every table was filled with dishes and not a single customer in the joint. Today we came in same time, same location and all 8 employees standing around fighting and arguing with every single surface covered in nasty syrup and sticky, my glass of water had floating brown substances in it. They got mine and my daughters waffles wrong and we were there for almost an hour and my daughter never got her chocolate chip waffle before we had to leave and go to McDonald's next store. Will NEVER come back. They really need a manager on shift because that was the most shameful lack of work ethic I've ever seen in my life. By the way there were 8 waffle makers at this location so I am terribly confused as to why a replacement waffle couldn't be provided within 10 minutes when I can make one at home...
