We was taking a trip north from where we live. Decided to grab a bite to eat in Albertville. As we looked for a place, BOB was the taste we had. So we looked on Google to see what was available. Local Joe's seemed like a good choice. We had not been there before, so we decide to give it a try. Boy was it the best choice of the day. The atmosphere was perfect, the food taste like it was home cooked. The hostess greeted us as we came in with a friendly smile. After sitting down our waitress came over quickly, also with a great smile. She took our order and we had our food in a matter of a few minutes. The manager came over and chatted with us and he too was extremely friendly... and a veteran to boot. We had no issues with anything while there. I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking to get so really good food if you're traveling through Albertville, Alabama. After paying, we was invited back to eat once again, but it didn't feel like it was fake. It was real and that is always a plus for me. Everyone was genuine and real. One thing that was awesome... We was told that they play the National Anthem twice a day every day they are open. Once at 12pm and once at 6pm. We came back for the 6pm playing and we were not let down. When it started, everyone stood up and removed there hats and saluted the flag on the wall. Men, women, and children were very respectful and this alone made the restaurant my favorite eating establishment I've ever ate at. I'm looking forward to coming back as soon as I can. Do yourself a favor and show up for the food, for the atmosphere but most of all... For the people that make this place number one in my book.

Bottom line up front this is southern style comfort food. The atmosphere is definitely southern and patriotic. They have a have local goodies and crafts to buy in a small store section along with house made grab and go items. Food was alright maybe a touch bland and generic. Although everyone seemed to like the white bbq sauce. I had the wings and they scratched the itch for hot wings but barely. The baked beans weren't that great either but the smoked sausage was nice. The service was very attentive and friendly. Menu is fairly broad and when you order there are definitely many options they will suggest you upgrade too. No alcohol but they have tea and coke products. One thing that was different at 6pm they played the national anthem and it was strongly encouraged for everyone to stand and salute the prominent flag in the room for the duration of the song. There is also a sign in one of my pictures about this. I love America too but I've never stopped dinner to play the anthem. Go if you want southern comfort food or just want to check out the atmosphere. Great place for kids.

I absolutely HATE to leave a negative review, but we invited our entire family to celebrate Thanksgiving at Local Joe's because prior to our last visit, it was a favorite restaurant. All 16 of our party had issues with our food. Nothing was good. One in our party ordered a Blue Cheese Burger with grilled onions. It came dry and plain. When he asked for it to be fixed, the waitress brought out a cup of blue cheese dressing as if that fixed it. The salad was awful. The pizza was cold. The pasta was cold. Our drinks didn't get refilled. We weren't offered dessert. Nobody cared. The restaurant was nearly empty, so I don't think it had anything to do with the size of our party. Teenagers did everything. The only adult in the building sat at a table near the desserts the entire time (about an hour and a half) we were there. Such a disappointment for a near icon in the bbq industry. I sincerely hope the owner sees this because he's always been so attentive in the past.

Omg everything we ordered was delicious. My husband and I both ordered the two meat platter. He picked pulled pork and ribs with a baked potato, mayo slaw and Texas toast. I ordered the turkey and sausage with mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, corn on the cob and cornbread. Everything was perfect. We also ordered an apple pie with ice cream. Just wow. I bought 2 apples pies, one strawberry cream cheese and one blueberry cheesecake to go as well as 2lbs of the sausage uncooked. They also sell peanut butter, jams syrup candles soaps. I bought the last peanut butter, some honey and syrup. The service was perfection. And they seem to be very involved with the community which I absolutely found amazing. If I’m ever in this town again i am absolutely coming here to eat. You will not regret coming in. Considering all the stuff we ate and bought to take home the bill was only &150 with tip included. Oh yeah the sweet tea did not disappoint!!! I would be remiss if didn’t add that we are not locals. We were there on business and took an uber to get to the restaurant but couldn’t find one back. We asked the manager if she knew of a cab company and she didn’t but she was kind enough to offer her husband to take us back. I don’t think anyone in Miami, where we are from, would ever do something like that. Small town southern hospitality and kindness. They are also super patriotic 🇺🇸Again...

Oh. My. Goodness. Y’all this place is a 11/10. The service, the area, the FOOD! First of all their menu is huge, you have a lot of varieties and for a good price too. I got the Rachel Sandwich and a side house salad. The Sandwich was top tier. But what made it even better was the blue cheese dressing I ordered for the salad. Literally the BEST blue cheese I’ve ever had in my life. So creamy and smooth. Anyways I got honey mustard and blue cheese as dressing for the salad (which was very delicious by the way) and used it as sauce for the sandwich too. You can’t go wrong with any combo there it’s just too good. I was introduced to white BBQ sauce for the first time and it was delightful. Their onion rings were really good too just a little greasy but I’ve never really tried them not greasy before. My friend got a burger and I was shocked when I tried it. They serve their meat fresh and that burger did not disappoint. It was so earthy and smoked it was flat out beautiful. Not to mention-their water taste really clean there and that’s huge for me! I’m from Ringgold GA and my friend is from Cleveland TN, we both agreed that we should have this restaurant in...
